Originally from the UK, he currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Dobson tends to be cast into the role of well-rounded, emotionally driven characters. Dans un monde imaginaire, un Soleil et une Lune sont petits et ont été inventés par les premiers Gardiens pour réchauffer la petite planète où vivent différents peuples merveilleux. Barbie incarne la princesse Courtney et se rend pour la première fois dans un camp de vacances pour les royautés, situé sur une île. Seulement, une erreur est survenue lors de l'inscription au Camp Royauté. Sur les listes des participants, le nom de Courtney a été échangé avec celui d'Erika Juno. Cette dernière est une jeune pop-star qui a décidé d'annuler sa tournée pour assister au Camp Pop et se faire des amis. Les deux jeunes filles se retrouvent dans le mauvais camp et demandent à en être changée. Mais c'est sans compter sur la rivalité entre Lady Anne, la directrice du Camp Royauté, et Finn Oxford, directeur du Camp Pop, qui a eue une relation avec cette dernière. Quand Lady Anne apprend qu'Erika est une personne connue et talentueuse, elle décide de l'utiliser à son avantage. Elle simule une panne du système informatique, ce qui bloque la procédure d'échange entre Courtney et Erika et propose un concours de chant entre les deux camps. Le perdant devra fermer ses portes. À la suite de cette décision, Courtney et Erika vont devoir s'intégrer dans un monde qui n'est pas le leur; et avec l'aide de leurs nouveaux amis, empêcher la fermeture d'un des deux camps.

The film opens with Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) on a mission to rescue captured babies from the Gnarlachs. He rescues them just in time before the Gnarlachs wake up. Scorch then returns to Planet Baab where he is known as a famous hero and a love interest for anchorwoman Gabby Babblebrook (Sofía Vergara) while at BASA his brother Gary (Rob Corddry) works. Gary's son Kip (Jonathan Morgan Heit) is a big fan of his uncle Scorch. Soon, Gary and Scorch receive a message from Lena Thackleman (Jessica Alba), the head of BASA, that Scorch will be sent to the "Dark Planet" (Earth) due to an SOS call. Scorch decides to go on the mission to the Dark Planet, but Gary strongly insists that he doesn't go because he is not serious. Also, no alien has ever returned from the dark planet. After further arguing, Gary finally says that he won't be helping Scorch and quits BASA before Scorch himself fires him. Gary then goes home to his wife Kira (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Kip only to find out that Scorch has already gone on the mission to the Dark Planet, while Kip is watching it on live TV in excitement.
