Neva Louise Patterson (February 10, 1920 – December 14, 2010) was an American actress.
Born on a farm near Nevada, Iowa, Patterson and her parents moved to New York City in 1938. She made her Broadway debut in 1947's The Druid Circle. In 1952, she played Helen Sherman in The Seven Year Itch. Her first feature movie was the 1953 film Taxi. Other film credits include The Buddy Holly Story, All of Me, and An Affair to Remember.
Patterson's television credits included Nichols, in which she played a cantankerous elderly matriarch, The Governor & J.J., and as Eleanor Dupres in V, which she reprised in V: The Final Battle. She made guest appearances on Appointment with Adventure, The Defenders, Ben Casey, Maude, Ironside, Charlie's Angels, Barnaby Jones, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Waltons, The Rockford Files, and St. Elsewhere.
On December 14, 2010, Patterson died from complications from a broken hip at age 90.

Roy Tucker (Gene Hackman), serving time for the murder of his wife's first husband, is approached in prison by a man named Tagge (Richard Widmark) on behalf of a mysterious organization with an offer: in exchange for helping him escape and start a new life, Tucker must work for the organization for a few weeks. Quincy Drew (Garner) and Jason O'Rourke (Gossett) travel from town to town in the south of the United States during the slavery era. Both men first meet when O'Rourke sells Drew a stolen horse belonging to the local Sheriff. They meet again by chance in jail after pulling various con jobs. (In comic relief they both pull out an Ace of Spades as they play cards.) They develop a con together in which Drew claims to be a down-on-his-luck slave owner who is selling O'Rourke as a slave. Drew gets the bidding rolling, sells O'Rourke, and the two later meet up to split the profit. O'Rourke was born a free man in New Jersey and is very well educated. The twist comes when O'Rourke is sold to a slave trader who is very savvy and intent on taking him down south to make a profit.

Lionel Evans (Charlton Heston) is the director of a well-respected symphony orchestra touring European concert halls around 1944 in WW2. In the midst of one concert, the city where they are playing is attacked by German troops, and when Evans and his musicians try to escape, they are captured by Nazi soldiers led by Col. Arndt (Anton Diffring). Evans and the orchestra are taken to a castle where they are to bide their time before being executed; but it turns out that Arndt's superior, Gen. Schiller (Maximilian Schell), is a big classical music fan. Schiller commands Evans and his symphony to prepare a special concert for the Nazis, but Evans realizes that the moment the concert is over, he and his musicians will be killed.
