Pietro Martellanza (30 September 1938 – 1 February 2010), best known as Peter Martell, was an Italian film actor, best known for his roles in Spaghetti westerns. Sometimes he was credited as Pete Martell or Peter Martel.
Born in Bolzano, he started his career in cinema as a stuntman. He was mainly active in 60's and 70's, appearing in about 70 films.
Martell was chosen as the leading actor in God Forgives... I Don't!, but the day before the first shoot he broke his foot during a fight with his girlfriend and was replaced by Terence Hill, who so started his successful partnership with Bud Spencer.

When a violent gang robs a bank, they also commit arson because the diversion eases their getaway. While the local prison is burning, four of its inmates profit from the general turmoil too. Among the four escapees is Ciakmull, a young man suffering with amnesia, who only remembers about his previous life that he has been home in the town Oxaca. For lack of a better idea all the fugitives go there. It shows that Ciakmull is not forgotten in Oxaca. Lion Udo, the father of one of the bankrobbers, recognises Ciakmull. He, whose clan has a feud with Ciakmull's family, takes advantage of his condition by turning him against his own kin. Before this plan works out, Ciakmull is warned on time by one of his fellow fugitives. Ciakmull contacts his half-brother Alan and his father John Caldwell. Only then he learns what caused his amnesia and why he'd ended up in prison. It was Alan who once mistreated Ciakmull and ran a scheme to put him away. He hates Ciakmull since he knows that Ciakmull is not the son of John Caldwell, but the child of a rapist.

Martin Benson is a Civil War veteran and former outlaw earning money and clearing his name by working as an undercover agent for the US Army. His infiltration of a ring supplying firearms and firewater to Indians has led to the capture and execution of three of the gang, though they would not identify the gang's ringleader. Despite his monetary rewards and the three pistols and gun belts of the executed men that he has posted home to his father, who still believes him to be an outlaw, Benson wants no more of the undercover life. Benson's controller, an Army Captain still wants him to continue his work in order to identify the ringleader and gain the Captain promotion.
