Phedon Papamichael, ASC (Greek: Φαίδων Παπαμιχαήλ, born 1962) is a cinematographer and film director.
Biography
Papamichael est venu aux États-Unis à l'âge de six ans, quand son père est allé travailler en tant que chef décorateur pour John Cassavetes. Il a étudié la photographie et l'art à l'Université de Munich, et a obtenu un diplôme en beaux-arts en 1982. Il a appris la photographie rapidement, en commençant par La Danse des Damnés (Dance of the Damned) en 1988. Phedon a fait ses débuts de réalisateur avec des artistes de Showtime en 1992. Il réalise en 1994 son premier film, Dark Side of Genius. Il a été membre de l'American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) depuis 2000. La même année, il a remporté le Prix Vision au Festival du film d'Avignon pour son film L'Été de mes 27 baisers.En Juillet 2007, Phedon Papamichael a été embauché pour diriger Inside, un film thriller-horreur basé sur un scénario de Brad Keene. Le long métrage sort en 2008.

Au début des années 1960, la Ford Motor Company connait des problèmes financiers. Henry Ford II met alors la pression à ses employés pour trouver des solutions. Lee Iacocca suggère alors de relancer la marque dans l'univers de la compétition automobile. Il est alors envisagé que Ford rachète Ferrari. Mais la rencontre avec Enzo Ferrari tourne au fiasco et c'est finalement Fiat qui signe l'accord. Le « Commendatore » est même très insultant envers la marque américaine et son patron, Henry Ford II. Ce dernier, piqué au vif, en fait une affaire personnelle. Ford décide alors de faire appel à Carroll Shelby, le seul américain vainqueur des 24 Heures du Mans (en 1959). Il est chargé de construire une voiture capable d'anéantir la suprématie de Ferrari pour les 24 Heures du Mans 1966. Carroll Shelby va ainsi développer la Ford GT40 Mk II avec l'aide de Ken Miles, un pilote au caractère bien trempé qui ne plait pas trop au sein de Ford.

The film begins with Tyler (Patrick Probst) and little brother Logan (Leo Howard) at the movie theater watching a brand new action film, that Tyler thinks was amazing, while Logan thinks it was bad and had no content. Then Logan tells Tyler about his plans to make a movie. Tyler says that he can make a movie. Then, while looking for actors, and crew workers, he faces rejection from his peers at school and his careless parents at home. Then Logan turns to the one he can always count on- Tyler. But when Tyler gets mad at Logan because of a misunderstanding about losing his jacket for his concert, Tyler tells Logan that the movie was a stupid idea, and that it was so bad he couldn't even finish reading it. He tells Logan, "you're only doing this for the attention anyway. It's not worth it. You're never gonna finish it, Logan". Then, while the parents are out and Tyler is at his band concert, Logan does what Tyler never thought he would- he tries to hang himself. Tyler comes up after getting angry at his orchestra leader, he looks all over the house trying to find Logan- and when he does, he is hanging from a tree in the backyard. Logan lives but if Tyler was two minutes late, he would have been brain dead. Although Tyler tries to get through the tragedy with the help of his friends, Ben (Booboo Stewart) and Carlie (Nicole Cummins), he just cannot. At the turn of the unexpected tragedy, the brothers' relationship is altered forever and Tyler is challenged to do whatever it takes to see his little brother's project succeed, even if that means risking it all.

Cette technologie irréversible de miniaturisation cellulaire doit officiellement réduire la surpopulation et promouvoir la décroissance mais est utilisée par les volontaires, des Américains de classe moyenne , pour consommer beaucoup plus (maison, nourriture, parures de diamants aux petits formats coûtant moins cher) dans des nouvelles cités sous cloche dédiées spécialement aux downsizés. Une entreprise commerciale présente ces cités avec force marketing comme des paradis terrestres du farniente et prend en charge les opérations de downsizing.
