Raul Deodato Pineda Arellano, also known as Raul Arellano, is a Filipino actor and painter, born on December 13, 1965 in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.

His acting career started after he finished his scholarship from the Actors Workshop Foundation (1987–1989). He was trained through the Eric Morris Acting Method by veteran mentors such as Leo Martinez, Laurice Guillen and Johnny Delgado. From then on, he was cast in diverse character roles mostly under the direction of independent filmmakers Cesar Hernando, Raymond Red, Regiben Romana and Lav Diaz. He appeared in supporting roles in Raymond Red's Sakay (1993) and Bayani (1992). He reaped the much coveted Gawad Urian's Best Supporting Actor award for Lav Diaz' film Batang West Side aka West Side Kid (2001) and was nominated eight years later for Best Actor for the film Himpapawid aka Manila Skies. He was also given the Young Critics Circle award for Best Performance for Himpapawid (2009).

Sakay was a barber from Tondo, Manila who joined Andres Bonifacio's revolutionary secret society Katipunan. He fought during the Philippine Revolution against Spain and later in the Philippine-American War. Sakay remained in the field even after the capture of President Emilio Aguinaldo and the fall of the First Philippine Republic. He was captured, but was released during an amnesty.
