Robert Samuel Fields (born 9 July 1938) is an actor who has appeared frequently on film and television. A life member of The Actors Studio, Fields is perhaps best known for his role as Daniel in the 1987 drama film Anna.
Fields was also friends with The Blob (1958) co-star Steve McQueen.

Biography
On June 26, 1983, Fields married Betty-Jane Robbins, a marketing director for trade books at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in San Diego, at the Fairview Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut. Their wedding was performed by Rabbi H. Leonard Poller.Fields was also friends with The Blob (1958) co-star Steve McQueen.

Red's Desert Diner Oasis, a dive in the middle of nowhere, becomes the focal point of three separate storylines. Robert Syverton (Michael Sarrazin), who once dreamed of being a great film director, recalls the events leading to an unstated crime. In his youth, he saw a horse break its leg, after which it was shot and put out of its misery. It is Monday morning in the Bronx; two deadbeat punks: Joe Ferrante (Tony Musante) and Artie Connors (Martin Sheen) are causing trouble. All of the women on the planet Mars have died in an atomic war, except for Martian Princess Marcuzan (Marilyn Hanold). Marcuzan and her right-hand man, Dr. Nadir (Lou Cutell), decide they will travel to Earth and steal all of the women on the planet in order to continue the Martian race. The Martians shoot down a space capsule manned by the android Colonel Frank Saunders (Robert Reilly), causing it to crash in Puerto Rico. Frank's electronic brain and the left half of his face are damaged after encountering a trigger-happy Martian and his ray gun. Frank, now "Frankenstein", described by his creator as an "astro-robot without a control system" proceeds to terrorize the island. A subplot involves the martians abducting bikini clad women.

During one long night in a small rural Pennsylvania town in July 1957, teenager Steve Andrews (Steve McQueen) and his girlfriend, Jane Martin (Aneta Corsaut), are kissing on a lovers' lane when they see a meteor crash beyond the next hill. Steve decides to look for it. An old man (Olin Howland) living nearby finds it first. When he pokes the meteorite with a stick, it breaks open, and the small jelly-like blob inside attaches itself to his hand. In pain and unable to scrape or shake it loose, the old man runs onto the road, where he is nearly struck by Steve's car. Steve and Jane take him to Doctor Hallen (Stephen Chase).
