Rachel, a reporter, is surprised when her roommate, Greg, arrives earlier than expected. Greg explains that his unsupportive ex-girlfriend has kicked him out, and he needs a place to stay while he works on his thriller screenplay. Both Greg and Rachel have been drawn to a small town in the Berkshires that is said to have been plagued with repeated cases of ergot poisoning. Greg wants to write a story about an insular town with a dark past, and Rachel believes that ergot poisoning can explain the accusations of witchcraft in the Salem witch trials. However, Rachel's questions upset the townspeople, who are tired of discussions about the town's history. Encouraged by Greg's faith in her, Rachel continues to dig deeper and ask more questions. Eventually, she meets Paul, a friendly townsperson who is willing to speak about the town's history, rumors of ergot poisoning, and a vague conspiracy that involves the town's elders. Paul urges Rachel to be careful, as there are dangerous secrets in the town that people will kill to protect. Unconvinced, Rachel proceeds with her investigation, only to find Paul dead.

Le film raconte l'histoire d'un journaliste espagnol contemporain, Robert, qui essaye de renouer des relations avec son père mourant, Manolo. Ce dernier a participé à la guerre civile espagnole. Le journaliste découvre, petit à petit, à travers son travail de recherche sur la vie de son père, que ce dernier était un ami intime de Josémaria Escriva, avec qui il a eu des relations compliquées. Manolo s'est engagé pendant la Guerre d'Espagne, et est tombé amoureux d'une jeune Hongroise, Ildiko. Celle-ci le rejette et se lie à un chef de la Milice, Oriol. Manolo devient jaloux et s'engage sur les chemins de la trahison. Le début du film se déroule à Rome ; ensuite, une grande partie de l'action se passe en Espagne et la scène finale, très émouvante, à la frontière entre l'Espagne et Andorre.

Eddie Bob, a struggling animal trainer and widower dad, is an assistant animal trainer to Sal DeMarco, an untalented, egocentric animal show host. Both men have been hired to train the animals for a film called Frizzy, The Bichon Frise: Sal as the dog handler, and Eddie is given only the responsibility of training the lizard. When Frizzy is kidnapped, Sal quickly claims that Eddie was responsible for the dog handling. Eddie is promptly fired. The director refuses to pay the ransom and decides to instead hold auditions for the new Frizzy.

Matt Stifler, the younger brother of Steve Stifler, is eager to enter the family business of making porn films so he can prove himself to his older brother. The movie focuses on a character simply named The Chosen One, who is wandering from town to town searching for the man who, under orders from the mysterious Evil Council, killed his family on the night he was born. His talents for the martial arts were already honed at his infancy, and only vastly improved over time, giving him capability for legendary fighting abilities. He soon drifts into another town, and consults Master Tang, a very ill and slightly deranged sifu, for further training. The master is skeptical at first, but when The Chosen One shows him his identifying mark (his tongue has a living face on it named Tonguey), Master Tang agrees to allow him to train at his dojo. He also introduces him to his two students: Wimp Lo, a young man with squeaky shoes who was trained wrong as a joke, and Ling, who Master Tang bluntly states will have feelings towards The Chosen One.

During World War II the British army is attempting to retrieve an Enigma machine from Germany. Having failed in previous attempts they decide to send four men undercover to the factory that makes the devices, deep in Berlin. Unfortunately the factory is populated entirely by women, and they only have men to send.
