Ryan Robbins (born November 26, 1972) is a Canadian television actor.
After high school, Ryan began his professional career as a circus performer; traveling to Australia to perform. After coming back to Canada, he went to Asia and in his early twenties, he was producing and directing for a production company in Malaysia. Longing for a new creative outlet and now living in Vancouver, he helped form an experimental band, Hellenkeller. During that time, he was a struggling artist, believing in his art but also homeless; living in a van during the winter months. It all changed for Ryan one night while on stage performing with his band. He was discovered by a local filmmaker who launched his career into the world of film and television.
Robbins worked at Mainframe Entertainment and did the motion body work for the robots in 1994 show ReBoot.
Robbins is known for his roles as Ladon Radim in Stargate Atlantis, Charlie Connor on Battlestar Galactica, and Henry Foss on Sanctuary. He is the only actor to have played two different characters (not counting different incarnations of Cylon models as different characters) in Battlestar Galactica, having originally starred in the miniseries, with heavy makeup and prosthetics to age him, as the Colonial officer assigned to Armistice Station before the Second Cylon War. He also guest starred in the Smallville third season premiere as Lewis. Robbins also played Diego in the Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica. He has also guest starred in the TV series jPod as Alistair Parish and as Wendell on the Canadian series The Guard. In 2011 he played the role of John Grey in the film Apollo 18.
He is currently starring as Rand in Riese, Brad Tonkin in Season 3 of Continuum and Tector in Falling Skies in addition to recently appearing in Mortal Kombat: Legacy as Raiden. He also played Fletch in the first episode of Wolf Lake.

Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Ryan Robbins knew he wanted to be an actor at a young age. He attended arts oriented schools where he wrote, produced, directed and starred in high-school productions; having his first taste of Shakespeare at the age of twelve.After high school, Ryan began his professional career as a circus performer; traveling to Australia to perform. Simon (Kevin Zegers) is a seemingly ordinary biology teacher that spends much of his spare time caring for his Alzheimers-ridden mother Helga (Amanda Plummer). This ends up not being the case, as Simon believes himself to be a vampire and spends much of his time looking at online sites for suicidal women who would make for easy prey. One such woman, Jellyfish (Keisha Castle-Hughes), is tricked into believing that she and Simon will both be killing one another, only for Simon to drink her blood after he administers sleeping pills and draws blood from her. Along with his vampiric hobby, Simon tries to keep his mother indoors by putting her in a straitjacket-esque contraption tied to several large balloons. It's when Simon meets Laura (Rachael Leigh Cook) that things begin to unravel, as she grows obsessed with him to the point where she breaks into his home. Things begin to further devolve when Renfield (Trevor Morgan), a man who also believes himself to be a vampire, emerges onto the scene and is far more violent than Simon ever dared to be.

Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le projet Philadeplhia Experiment a pour but de rendre les navires de la flotte américaine invisibles à ses ennemis. Le navire Eldrige tente l’expérience et disparaît littéralement, avant de revenir vidé de son équipage. En 2012, une équipe de scientifiques reprennent le projet d'invisibilité et l'essaie sur une automobile. C'est alors que, non loin de Philadelphie, l'Eldrige réapparaît sur une piste d’atterrissage avec à son bord un Navy, Bill Gardner. Celui-ci vient de faire un bond de 70 ans dans l'avenir. Instable, le bateau se téléporte à quelques reprises à travers le monde (Philadelphie, Chicago, Nevada...), ce qui préoccupe le gouvernement qui, bien que désirant cette technologie, ne veut pas laisser fuiter l'existence de tels phénomènes. Alors que celui-ci essaie par tous les moyens de détruire le navire, tuer Gardner et effacer toute trace de cet incident temporel, Bill tente plutôt de retourner en 1943 avec l'Eldrige et ainsi changer le cours de l'histoire.
