Rajamouli (born Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and action choreographer who works primarily in Telugu cinema, known for directing blockbuster films like Magadheera and Eega based on Visual Effects, both of which won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects. He has directed blockbusters like Vikramarkudu and Maryada Ramanna, which were remade in various Indian languages, with successful reviews and also these block busters have been copied from several english films.

In the ancient Kingdom of Mahishmati in India, Sivagami, the queen mother (Ramya Krishnan), carrying a baby in her arms, emerges from a cave adjoining a big waterfall. Prudhvi (Nitin Kumar Reddy) & Shashank (Shashank) are the leaders of two warring students groups in a Hyderabad college. They are fond of rugby union game and they sort the things out between them by playing rugby to prove superiority. One fine day, a local mafia leader Bhikshu Yadav (Pradeep Rawat) gets a court notice that he has purchased the land of college from its legal heirs. The groups of Prudhvi and Sashank unite together by forgetting differences to fight a united cause of winning back the land for college. After getting affected by assaults of students, Bhikshu Yadav throws a challenge to defeat his team in a game of rugby union to win back the land for their college. The film is set in the Nelakondapalli village of Adilabad district in Nizam Princely State of Hyderabad of the late 1940s. Faction feud in Rayalseema results in the death of Ramineedu's (V. Nagineedu) brother and he, along with his two sons Mallasuri (Supreeth Reddy) and Baireddy (Venugopal), vow for revenge. Time turns 28 years and comes to Hyderabad. Here lives Ramu (Sunil), an innocent and somewhat unlucky guy whose parents are no more and is ousted out of his job. His life takes a turn with a correspondence that he has got five acres of land in his hometown in Andhra Pradesh. He decides to sell that land and sets off to the village. Harsha, a dirt-bike racer, is taking an auto rickshaw to the airport in the rain. He spots the blurry outline of a woman trying to flag the auto down, and gestures to her that it is already occupied. As he does, their fingers accidentally touch, and Harsha feels an electric current passing through him, which triggers a few fleeting images. Later, feeling that this was the girl he was destined to be with, he enquires about her to a woman named Indira (called "Indu"), without realising that she is the same girl. Indu, thinking that he is stalking her, misdirects him. She and her friends take advantage of Harsha, duping him out of his finances. Meanwhile, Indu's distant cousin Raghuveer, lusts after her. He manipulates Indu and her father into trusting him. However, whenever he attempts to touch a sleeping Indu, he sees visions of a warrior slitting his throat. Raghuveer consults a tantrik, Ghora, who reveals to him that in a prior life, he was a prince who lusted after Indu, and was killed by her lover, a warrior. Raghuveer is determined to find the reincarnation of the warrior and kill him. Meanwhile, Harsha discovers how Indu and her friends have been defrauding him, and she falls in love with him.

Athili Sathi Babu (Ravi Teja) is a small-time thief and crook who is crazy about acts of daredevilry who falls in love with Neeraja (Anushka Shetty) who is in Hyderabad to attend a marriage.
