Sanjay Gadhvi 22 November 1965 is an Indian writer and director belongs to junagadh in Gujarat.
He was born to Manubhai Gadhvi, a renowned and much revered speaker, socialite and orator. His father also tried films during his young age, afterwards he quit films and focused on social work.
He made his directorial debut with Tere Liye (2000) which went unnoticed. His first film with Yash Raj Films was Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002). The film enjoyed moderate success.
He first gained fame when he directed the action thriller Dhoom (2004). The film was a huge hit and practically revived the careers of the actors and actresses starring in the film.
He then directed the sequel to Dhoom, called Dhoom 2. The film starred three of the main actors from the previous film: Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Rimi Sen. Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu were also in the film. The film, famous for its stunts, came out as the highest grosser of 2006.

The story revolves around Rajveer (Jackky Bhagnani) a hard-working rich youngster, who is the heir of his father Yashvardhan Grewal (Darshan Jariwala), and his company Grewal Motors Co. When Rajveer falls in love with Madhuri (Nidhi Subbaiah), he realises that she hates all rich people, and has much sympathy for poor families. Therefore, Rajveer starts a drama, in which he pretends to be poor along with his family to gain Madhuri's love.
