Sonu Sood is an Indian film actor, model and producer who acts predominantly in Tollywood, Kollywood, Bollywood, and Kannada films. He has also appeared in commercials for Apollo Tyres, Airtel etc.
In 2009, he received Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Villain and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu for his work in the Telugu blockbuster, Arundhati. In 2010, He garnered Apsara Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role and IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for the Bollywood blockbuster, Dabangg. In 2012, He received SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for Julayi. Carrière
Sonu Sood, qui s’est fait connaître en participant au concours de Mister India, obtient son premier rôle en 1999 dans le film tamoul Nenjinile. Après plusieurs rôles secondaires, il est choisi pour jouer le rôle de Bhagat Singh dans le biopic pendjabi de ce révolutionnaire indien, Shaheed-e-Azam. Il joue ensuite dans plusieurs films en hindi et commence à être remarqué tant pour ses rôles négatifs ou ambigus (en particulier dans Yuva de Mani Ratnam) que pour les scènes osées qu’il interprète dans certains de ces films, tels que Sheesha. Parmi ses rôles marquants dans le cinéma hindi, celui du prince sans terre Sujamal dans le film d’Ashutosh Gowariker Jodhaa Akbar (2008), ou celui de Prem dans Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi, une production Rajshri. En 2010 il joue l’adversaire de Salman Khan dans le blockbuster Dabangg. En 2005 Super, au côté de Nagarjuna, lance sa carrière dans le cinéma télougou, où son plus gros succès à ce jour est le film fantastique Arundhati (2009), dans lequel il joue un aghora (un ascète hindou pratiquant une forme de tantrisme), un rôle qui nécessite quatre à cinq heures de maquillage par jour. Le tournage d’Arundhati se déroule en même temps que celui de Jodhaa Akbar, ce qui oblige Sonu Sood à jongler entre deux personnages très différents. Son interprétation est très appréciée et lui vaut de remporter un Filmfare Award. En 2011, il interprète un pharaon souhaitant conquérir l'Inde dans le film télougou Shakti. Sonu Sood a également joué dans un film émirati, City of Life, en 2008.

Jack, un professeur d'archéologie renommé du musée de l'armée de terre cuite de Xi'an, s'associe à la jeune professeur indienne Ashmita de l'Institut national des musées du Rajasthan pour rechercher le trésor perdu du Magadha au Tibet. The film starts with Akhil Lokande (Akshay Kumar) getting paid for doing an ad, where he gets into a fight, as he wasn't paid the full amount of money that they had promised. This continues with a few other ads, where Akhil constantly ends the fight when he gets a phone call, and says he has to go somewhere. He then arrives on a shoot where Sakshi (Tamannaah Bhatia) is shooting for her television series. After her shoot lets out, they go for a walk around the park, observing other couples. One day Brahma is caught by ACP Shinde in that house. Then Brahma's grandfather reveals their past. In 1600 BC A warrior named Brahma (Upendra again) is very kind to poor. He gives all his wealth to the poor. But in 1950, their family becomes very poor. Then Veer Brahma says that he will take all the wealth his grandfather gave to others. Then Bramha is taken to court and he is sentenced to 2 years in jail. There, his father apologizes to him. After two years, Bramha is now the chief minister of Karnataka. The Lady came to kill Brahma but she did not succeed in killing him. She is the wife of Rahul Dev. The movie ends with Upendra saying, "Jo janta ko chodkar dourta hai woh leader nehi ho ta, Jo janta ko sath lekar dourta hai wahi ho ta hai leader." In English, this means, "Which man runs without the public he is not a leader, but he who runs with the public he is the leader.

Vishi (Ajay Devgn) is a small-time crook who would do anything for money. He falls in love with Khushi (Sonakshi Sinha), a simple HR executive, who then begins a relationship with him. One day, Vishi, who frequently gets involved in fights, publicly beats up a street gangster, who later seeks a revenge attack with his gang. The gangster and his gang brutally beat up Vishi, and easily escape the scene. It is then revealed that the person they had beaten is actually Vishi's lookalike, Jai. The goons escape when they hear the siren, and Vishi is found alive on bike, then the same goons gets beaten brutally by Vishi. Khushi tries to explain to Vishi that she loves him, he understands and they both started falling in love. On another occasion, a police inspector arrests Jai and hands him over to a group of gangsters led by Pedro (Ketan Karande). Jai single-handedly kills them all and is revealed to be a professional assassin and previous right-hand man of underworld criminal Xavier Fonseca (Anandaraj), nicknamed AJ. After AJ single-handedly rescued Xavier's sister Marina (Manasvi Mamgai) from a bunch of kidnappers, Marina falls for Jai but he rejects her as he is been married to Anusha (Yami Gautam).

Shankar is an orphan raised by a sincere police officer Raja Rao. Romeo Rajkumar (Shahid Kapoor) is an aimless youth who arrives in small town of Dhartipur been ruled by two drug barons named Shivraj Gurjar (Sonu Sood) and his arch enemy Manik Parmar (Ashish Vidyarthi), controlled by a Mafia don named Ajit Taaka (Srihari), who operates in Hong Kong. Rajkumar now works for Shivraj. But his life changes forever when he claps eyes on the beautiful, educated Chanda (Sonakshi Sinha). What he does not know is, that Chanda is an orphan who is being raised by Manik Parmar. After some persistent wooing, Chanda falls for Rajkumar's charms. Just when their love was about to flourish, Shivraj and Parmar compromise and Parmar decides to get Chanda married to Shivraj, against Chanda's wish. Angered Rajkumar beats Shivraj's men and challenges him, saying that he will marry Chanda in front of Shivraj. Furious, Shivraj plans to get Rajkumar killed in an encounter by his pet police officer. But in return, gets a shocking surprise when it is revealed that Rajkumar actually works for Don Ajit Takka and was sent to Dhartipur only to take over the drug cartel to which both Shivraj and Parmar owe allegiance. Rajkumar captures Shivraj's truck full of drugs and drives it to Takka, revealing he himself was a big gangster all along. After giving Shivraj's stolen truck to Takka, he discovers that the truck was empty. In a twist of events, it turns out that Shivraj and Takka had joined hands, and purposely made Rajkumar steal the empty truck. Shivraj and Takka brutally kill Rajkumar and bury him. Shivraj starts his wedding celebrations with Chanda, only to be interrupted by the still alive Rajkumar, who is shown to have been rescued by one of Shivraj's henchmen after he was buried. Shivraj's men back off, because they are now friends with Rajkumar, hence leading to a one on one fight between the two. Finally, Rajkumar injures Shivraj with a power punch to the neck and later kills Don Takka with a ceramic tile. The film ends with all the men beating Parmar, while a severely injured Rajkumar and Chanda walk away hand in hand happily.
