Steve Hickner est un réalisateur, scénariste et producteur américain, évoluant dans le domaine de l'animation.

Hickner débute dans les années 80 en étant storyboardeurs et scénariste, notamment pour la série Pac-Man. Il va être aussi animateur pour les studios Disney pour les films Taram et le Chaudron magique et Basil, détective privé.

Il va ensuite devenir producteur et va produire les films de la société Amblimation de Steven Spielberg. En 1998, il réalise son premier film Le Prince d'Égypte. Il va ensuite beaucoup travailler comme storyboardeur pour nombreux films des studios de DreamWorks Animation.

En 1999, il est nommé avec Simon Wells et Brenda Chapman pour le Meilleur achivement individuel à la réalisation d'un long-métrage d'animation aux Annie Awards de 1999. Ils ne remportent pas la récompense mais Hickner se consolera en 2001, en remportant le titre de Meilleure première animation pour la sortie vidéo lors des Video Premiere Award.

Happening after the events in How to Train Your Dragon, the short shows Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Toothless and Gobber telling the legend behind the Book of Dragons with the misadventures of its author, Bork the Bold. In addition to Bork's discoveries, the young Vikings reveal their own training methods they developed with new, never before seen dragons. The short shows a total of 14 dragons, each spread into 7 classes: Stoker (Terrible Terror, Monstrous Nightmare), Boulder (Gronckle, Whispering Death), Fear (Hideous Zippleback, Snaptrapper), Sharp (Deadly Nadder, Timberjack), Tidal (Scauldron, Thunderdrum), Mystery (Changewing, Boneknapper) and Strike (Skrill, Night Fury). But there are new dragons that are not in the book that are shown in the cartoon series.

A bee named Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld) has recently graduated from college and is about to enter the hive's Honex Industries honey-making workforce alongside his best friend Adam Flayman (Matthew Broderick). Barry is initially excited to join the workforce, but his latent non-conformist attitude emerges upon discovering that his choice of job will never change once picked. Later, the two bees run into a group of Pollen Jocks, bees who collect pollen from flowers outside the hive. The Jocks offer to take Barry outside the hive to a flower patch, and he accepts. While on his first pollen-gathering expedition, Barry gets caught in the rain, and ends up on the balcony of a human named Vanessa (Renée Zellweger). Upon noticing Barry, Vanessa's boyfriend Ken (Patrick Warburton) attempts to swat him, but Vanessa instead safely catches and releases Barry outside the window, saving his life.

In Ancient Egypt, Yocheved and her two children, Miriam and Aaron, watch as newborn Hebrew boys are taken and ruthlessly killed as ordered by Pharaoh Seti I, who fears that an increase of Hebrew slaves could lead to rebellion. Fearing for her own newborn son's safety, Yocheved places him in a basket afloat on the Nile. Miriam follows the basket to the Pharaoh's palace and witnesses her baby brother safely adopted by Queen Tuya, who names him Moses.
