Biography
Née dans une famille juive d'origine russe à Boston, elle est élevée dans 8 famille d'accueil différentes. Elle s'intéresse très vite au théâtre et prend des cours d'art dramatique à Manhattan. Après avoir tenté une carrière de chanteuse, elle obtient un petit rôle dans le film d'Henry Hathaway, Le Carrefour de la mort. Deux ans plus tard, elle signe un contrat avec Universal et elle joue dans des westerns et des films d'aventures, aux côtés de Jeff Chandler, de Tony Curtis ou d'Audie Murphy. En 1955, elle rompt son contrat avec la firme. Roger Corman lui propose alors des rôles dans plusieurs de ses films. À partir de 1959, elle a une relation très médiatisée avec le roi Hussein de Jordanie.En 1964, elle met au monde un fils atteint de nanisme. Members of the United Nations space program are dismayed by the inexplicable annihilation of a manned satellite. The satellite is the tenth in the Sigma Project to be destroyed after coming into contact with a mysterious space barrier. At the control center, U.N. representative Mr. Akad demands that the project, which has yielded limited results, be terminated because of the loss of money and lives. Soon after, a young teenage couple witnesses the landing of a small missile-like object which they turn over to authorities. After examining the capsule, the U.N. calls a meeting and reads aloud a message from the capsule that proclaims to be from the Masters of the Spiral Nebula Ghana, aliens displeased by Earth's repeated attempts to explore space. Calling humans a "disease," the aliens declare they will set up a quarantine to protect the universe.

An embittered cavalry sergeant must take over his regiment after their commanding officer is killed during an ambush. Dans un petit village côtier, les hommes ne sont pas rentrés de leur dernière expédition, les femmes décident donc de partir à leur recherche, elles sont rejointes par Ottar, le seul homme qui soit resté au village. Leur drakkar est attaqué par un monstre marin gardien du "Vortex". Le Vortex les précipite sur une rive inconnue, elles sont emmenés en esclavage par le peuple Grimault. Elles tentent de résister mais en vain. Le chef des Grimault, Stark convie les esclaves à un banquet où elles sont malmenées. Voulant tester la force des vikings, le fils de Stark, Senya joue une partie de bras de fer avec Desir, la leader des Vikings, Senya gagne la première manche, Desir la seconde mais les chef les empêche de jouer la belle. Stark propose aux femmes viking de venir avec eux à une partie de chasse.au cours de laquelle Senya est à deux doigts de se faire tuer par un sanglier, il est sauvé par Desir qui tue le sanglier, mais il considère ce sauvetage comme une humiliation et revendique pour lui-même la mort du sanglier. On fait visiter aux femmes vikings la grotte où les mâles sont détenus en esclavage. L'une des femmes tente de les faire évader, mais la prêtresse des vikings, la brune Enger, jalouse de Désir, prévient Stark et fait échouer l'évasion. Stark décrète la mise à mort de Désir et de son amant. Deux buchers sont allumés, et le premier qui demandera grâce aura la vie sauve, mais aucun des deux amoureux ne se décide à le faire. Enger regrette son geste et invoque Thor qui provoque un orage, qui éteint les bûchers tandis que la foudre électrocute Senya qui allait se servir de son épée. Les vikings fuit, mais sont sur le point d'être rattrapés par les Grimault, Enger prend un chemin détournée pour faire diversion et se jette de la falaise, les vikings fuient en barque poursuivi par les Grimault, Le monstre marin survient engloutissant les Grimault tandis qu'Ottar parvient à tuer le monstre d'un coup de lance.

In 1862, as the Civil War rages in the Southeastern states, the Southwest is far away from the battle lines, but in New Mexico Territory, good relations between Fort Buchanan's commanding officer, Major Colton (John Lund) and the Chiricahua Apache chief Cochise (Jeff Chandler) are threatened by the arrival of venal government agent Baylor (Bruce Cowling) and his equally dishonest scout Mescal Jack (Jack Elam). In breach of existing treaties, Baylor plans to resettle the Apaches to the San Carlos Reservation and when Geronimo (Jay Silverheels), the chief of the rival Mogollon Apaches attacks the Tucson stagecoach and kills women and children, Baylor threatens to also transport the Chiricahuas to San Carlos. When confronted by Colton and Baylor, Cochise calls a council of Apache elders and they vote to banish Geronimo, who must also give up one of his stagecoach captives, schoolteacher Mary (Beverly Tyler). After assuring his pregnant wife Nona (Susan Cabot) that his interest in the attractive young schoolteacher is not romantic, Cochise brings Mary to Fort Buchanan and entrusts her to Major Colton, counseling him that she would be a fine wife. At the same time, Baylor and Jack plot with Geronimo to frame Cochise for Geronimo's attack on a ranch. During Colton's inquiry into the attack, his subordinate, Lieutenant Bascom (John Hudson), is promised a promotion by Baylor for rescuing the boy who was kidnapped during the attack. Cochise tells Bascom that it was Geronimo who committed the attack, but Bascom accuses him of lying and takes Nona hostage, while executing by hanging three braves, including Cochise's brother, Little Elk (Tommy Cook). As Cochise mourns and then prepares to retaliate against Bascom's position, Mescal Jack goes to him in the pretense of warning him about an Army attack, but Cochise calls him a liar and puts him to death. Colton's trusted Sergeant Bernard (Richard Egan) informs him of the situation, causing Colton to shut down Fort Buchanan and prepare to transfer everyone, including Mary and Baylor, to Fort Sheridan, a more secure redoubt, some distance away. From the hills along the trail, Cochise watches the procession, as does Geronimo and, as shooting begins, the wounded Baylor goes towards the Indians' positions, shouting that he is their friend, but Geronimo kills him. Colton and Sergeant Bernard use the expedition's cannon to rout the warriors, as Cochise finds Nona, who has been hurt, and takes her to the wagons so that Army doctor Carter (Regis Toomey) can treat her. Geronimo calls Cochise a weak leader, but in a one-to-one battle, Cochise wins and, instead of killing Geronimo, banishes him. Nona's son is born and Nona gives her friend Mary a precious Apache bracelet. Colton and Mary look at each other with affection and Cochise tells them that time has come for peace, as he rides away with Nona.
