Tiger Chen (simplified Chinese: 陈虎; traditional Chinese: 陳虎; pinyin: Chén Hǔ; born 3 March 1975) is a Chinese martial artist and actor. Tiger Chen is Yuen Wo Ping's protege and Keanu Reeves' teacher. He was also Uma Thurman's stunt double.

Biography

Tiger Chen étudie les arts martiaux chinois à Chengdu. À 19 ans, Tiger Chen s'installe aux États-Unis où il vit dans une petite cabane en bois. Il dit : « En Chine, au moins vous pouvez pratiquer le Kung Fu et assister à des compétitions d'arts martiaux, mais aux États-Unis, vous trouverez que la plupart de votre temps à laver la vaisselle et faire portier. »

En 1998, Tiger Chen commence sa carrière au cinéma en tant qu'assistant chorégraphe de Yuen dans Matrix avec Keanu Reeves avec qui il devient ami. Chen a également occupé le poste de chorégraphe dans Charlie et ses drôles de dames (2000), Once in the Life (2000) et Kill Bill (2003).

Tiger Chen tient un petit rôle de ronin dans Matrix Reloaded (2003). En 2005, il apparait comme un pratiquant des arts martiaux dans House of Fury avec Anthony Perry. Après avoir joué des rôles mineurs dans divers films, Tiger Chen obtient son premier rôle principal dans le film Man of Tai Chi en 2013 face à Keanu Reeves, Karen Joy Morris et Simon Yam.

Tiger Chen [(Tiger Chen Linhu)] is the sole student of his elderly master's Ling Kong Tai Chi style. Suspected of hosting an illegal fighting operation, Sun-Jing turns one of Donaka's fighters into a mole, but he is discovered and personally killed by Donaka. Despite the setbacks, Sun-Jing wants to continue investigating, but without any evidence Superintendent Wong [(Simon Yam)] has the case closed. Believing the evidence would eventually come through, Sun-Jing secretly continues investigating Donaka and things change with Tiger's involvement.

The Caduceus receives a message from the Oracle, and the Nebuchadnezzar ventures out so Neo can contact her. One of the Caduceus crew, Bane, encounters Agent Smith, who takes over Bane's avatar. Smith then uses this avatar to leave the Matrix, gaining control of Bane's real body.
