Molly Morris (Cyrus), a private investigator based in Dallas, takes photos of cheating men. During one of her investigations, F.B.I. Agent Armon Ranford (Piven), offers her a job with the F.B.I., to watch over Alex Patrone (Lauren McKnight), the daughter of a Senator, who was involved in an organized crime case. Molly is reluctant at first, but ultimately decides to accept Ranford's offer. She goes undercover as a sorority student named Brooke Stonebridge. She meets Sasha Stolezinsky (Eloise Mumford), the head of the sorority and other members, including Becky, Cotton, Hunter, and Alex, whom she has been hired to protect. At first, she suspects that Sasha may be hiding something, but as it turns out, she only changed her identity from Suzy Walters, so she start a new life, rather than be an outcast. Molly also meets her love interest, Nicholas Dexter (Josh Bowman), another student at the college. Molly begins to suspect that one of her professors, Professor Talloway (Matthew Settle), when she discovers that Alex secretly goes off to his home on a lake. She continuously reports back to Ranford, who at one point tells her that Nicholas Dexter is not his real name. She does not believe him, and soon figures out that Ranford is not who he says he is. One night she follows Alex to Talloway's home, only to discover that her professor is actually a federal agent. She encounters a gunman, who doesn't kill her. She figures out that Ranford is behind the mask, who drives off with a kidnapped Alex and soon finds Talloway injured from a gunshot wound outside his home. When she returns to the sorority house, she encounters two federal agents working on the case. They are hesitant at first, but Morris convinces them to help her solve the case, with the help of her sorority sisters. They execute the plan, rescue Alex, and corner Ranford, who is arrested. Alex hands over a SD card, with the evidence in her father's case, to Molly. She hands over to the F.B.I. Molly's father, Sam Morris (O'Malley), who helped her with the case, greets her and meets Nicholas. The F.B.I. is pleased with Molly's work, and she is offered to work for them. She declines, and instead wants to continue at college. Two months pass, and she is taking photos of a guy Cotton is dating. Nicholas comes up to her, revealing they are dating. The film ends when they kiss.

In order to afford their dream house, newlyweds Jen and Mitch Mckenzie ask their best friend Danny to move in with them. The plan works beautifully until Danny brings home Blair, a stunning and beautiful temptress. Blair tries to seduce Mitch with her beauty and sex appeal when she is with Danny. This makes Mitch make behavioral changes towards Jen. Later, Blair electrocutes Danny in his bath tub. Then, it is revealed that Blair's earlier boyfriends had also died in some way after meeting her. After Danny's death Mitch allows Blair to stay in house falling to her temptations. This widens the gap between Jen and him. Jen leaves the house and starts working as head chef in a hotel.

In 1985, Brian Jackson is a first-year university student and information sponge. Since his working-class childhood in Southend-on-Sea, Brian has loved the TV quiz show University Challenge, whose famous catchphrase—"Your starter for 10"—gives the film its title. Soon after arriving at Bristol University, Brian attends a party where he meets the politically conscious Rebecca, with which he seems to have an instant connection. Brian attempts to join their University Challenge team but narrowly fails to secure a spot when he helps another potential candidate, Alice, cheat on the qualifying test. Brian falls for the glamorous Alice and tries to date her, despite her multiple signals that she only sees him as a platonic friend. As the term starts, Brian is invited to join the University Challenge team after one of the other members falls ill. The captain of the team, Patrick Watts, is a stuck-up post-grad who has managed to remain team captain despite never having achieved success on University Challenge. Brian immediately impresses the rest of the team with his wealth of trivia knowledge and uses his time with the team to get closer to Alice, eventually getting invited to her house for Christmas vacation. Unfortunately, Brian embarrasses himself in front of her family by getting stoned while trying to impress Alice. He returns to campus to spend the rest of his vacation and meets back up with Rebecca. They once again hit it off, but as they are hooking up, he inadvertently calls her "Alice", offending her and ruining the moment. Following his romantic failures, he talks with Spencer, his friend from back home who informs him that he is in legal trouble due to his criminal pursuits. Brian invites him to campus for a party before he has to face the judge.

A former CIA agent and ex-Special Forces member Dean Cage (Wesley Snipes), is in a rehab program, haunted by a botched mission in Bosnia which resulted in the execution of his best friend Scott (Cristian Solimeno). While in a restaurant waiting for his girlfriend, Detective Amy Knight (Jacqueline Obradors), who happens to be Scott's sister, he is mistakenly believed to be a CIA agent involved with a stolen military experimental truth serum. A series of tornadoes in West Tennessee cripple the Helman-Klein Nuclear Power Plant by damaging a power transformer and a generator. This leaves the plant with very little power to operate. As an operator shuts down non-vital systems, which include the electric pumps, a second tornado hits the plant, damaging the diesel pumps. Meanwhile Campbell Maguire (Daniel Costello), the plant supervisor's young son, is caught in the twisters. His babysitter is killed and he runs away towards the plant on his bike.
