Veena Malik is a Pakistani actress, TV host and model who appears in Lollywood and Bollywood films. Malik made her film debut in 2000 with Sajjad Gul's Tere Pyar Mein. In 2002, she starred in Akbar Khan's Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa and Sassi Punno and later played roles in female-centric films such as Koi Tujh Sa Kahan (2005), Mohabbatan Sachiyan (2007), Kyun Tum Se Itna Pyar Hai (2005), Kabhi Pyar Na Karna (2008) and Ishq Be Parwah (2008). In 2012, she was seen in Bollywood with a comedy film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai. The following year, she appeared in the dramedy Zindagi 50-50, Supermodel and the Kannada film Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga which was a box office hit. She also appeared in 2014 horror film Mumbai 125 KM 3D.
In November 2014, Malik and her husband Asad were sentenced to 26 years in prison by a regional, anti-terrorism court for allegedly airing a blasphemous program, however they fled to Dubai.

Aashika (Singh) wakes up frightened in a hospital and goes into a flashback. A group of friends Prem (Bohra), Jacks (Debroy), Diya (Bajpai) and Vivek (Bhatia) decides to travel to Mumbai to celebrate New Year's Day. While travelling, a patrolling cop halts the car and interrogates them on the account of driving under the influence of alcohol, to which Prem bribes them into letting him and his friends go. The same night they encounter weird situations and a cradle to which they avoid. Meanwhile Prem hits a car accidentally and while figuring out who they hit, they come across a man (Rajiv Anand) who warns them to back off or else they all will be killed. The friends try to take the man to the same cop they met before but they find the cop brutally murdered and thrown away from a car and the man suddenly disappears. The friends sense danger and find a way to get back off the road but the road seems to be endless. Meanwhile, the friends move on and they encounter a girl (Malik) and they offer her lift. The friends assume that she's a mental patient and try to take her to a hospital. However the friends move in the jungle to find the asylum, they leave Jacks in car with the girl. Jacks is murdered too and when the friends turn back to see what is the matter they find Jacks and the girl are missing. After a moment they encounter the same car throwing Jacks' body off the car. After a series of awkward events, Prem and Vivek come out of their car to find out the matter. Vivek and Prem had a verbal argument for Aashika to which they split ways. Vivek finds out an abandoned house where he gets trapped and brutally killed by that girl. Prem, Aashika and Diya are now the only survivors left. Prem orders the girls to stick together as a team but a scared Diya runs away. No sooner, Diya too gets killed and thrown out of car. Scared, Prem and Aashika now run for their lives and Prem ends up in a grave. Prem witnesses his deceased friends' souls and the girl and gets killed. Now back to present, Aashika (in hospital) finds about the girl by a nurse and the girl's name revealed as Poonam. She visits Poonam's house and witnesses Poonam's husband's soul and mother-in-law. She narrates the story that Poonam was eccentric and wanted a child. She argued with her now deceased husband (Rajiv Anand) for child and sooner Poonam's mental condition worsens after her delivery. The doctor advices Poonam's husband that she needs counselling. It is also revealed that the accident by Prem and friends actually crashed Poonam's car and kills herself, her husband and child. Poonam returns as a ghost and swears vengeance upon the friends for murdering her child. Aashika was only saved just because she was pregnant with Prem's child and Poonam didn't hurt her. Aashika's parents calls her and reveal that her child is aborted. This angers Poonam and scares Aashika and kills herself.

Binnu Dhillon plays a gang leader who has a heart problem. The doctor recommends him to get a new heart transplant. Unable to find any healthy donor in his gang, due to some sort of a drinking or drug abuse problem with each member of his gang, he convinces the character played by Arya Babbar, the protagonist of the film, for heart donation. Mini (Genelia Deshmukh) is a young woman who lives off her father Bhatti's (Tinnu Anand) money and wealth. She hates the term "marriage." However, she is still being forced to get married by her father to Sunny, a man from a wealthy family who just wants access to Mini's green card. Viren (Riteish Deshmukh) is a hard-working simpleton who dreams of having his own travel agency with a fleet of cars for which he is painstakingly saving money. He works as a rickshaw driver for Bhatti and keeps his savings under the seat of his rickshaw. Bhatti sells off all his rickshaws one day — with Viren's savings of Rs. 60,000 in one of them — and buys a new fleet of cars. Viren gets drunk to drown his sorrows over his lost money. In a drunken stupor Viren ends up at Bhatti's doorstep demanding his money back, while Mini's engagement to Sunny is in progress. An argument ensues and Viren lays his hands on a pistol. Viren tells Bhatti that he is going to count to three or he is going to shoot him. Viren counts to three but misses because he was drunk.
