Veronica Hamel (born November 20, 1943, in Philadelphia) is an American actress and model.
She was the model in the last cigarette commercial televised in the U.S. (for Virginia Slims, aired at 11:59 p.m. on New Year's Day 1971 on The Tonight Show). Hamel had been a model in print ads not just for Slims, but also for Pall Mall Gold cigarettes.
Hamel started appearing in TV series in 1975. She was considered for the role of Kelly Garrett on Charlie's Angels, but reportedly declined the role. Producer Aaron Spelling cast Jaclyn Smith instead.
Hamel is probably best remembered for playing Joyce Davenport, the hard-driving public defender and love interest of police captain Frank Furillo, on the long-running TV series Hill Street Blues from 1981 to 1987. She was a five-time Emmy nominee for that role.
Alan Alda's 1988 film A New Life cast Hamel in a leading role as his doctor and love interest. She was cast as Elizabeth, the wife of Charles Grodin's character in the movie Taking Care of Business in 1990. She was named on Us magazine's "Best Dressed" list for 1983. Hamel portrayed Lily Munster in the 1995 Halloween telefilm Here Come the Munsters in which Yvonne De Carlo had a cameo.
In 2002, she also appeared on Hill Street Blues creator Steven Bochco's legal drama Philly. In recent years, Hamel had a recurring role in the NBC television series Third Watch and appeared as Margo Shephard, Jack's mother, in the ABC series Lost.

Biography
After Hamel graduated from Temple University, she worked as a secretary for a company that manufactured ironing board covers. She began a fashion modeling career after being discovered by Eileen Ford. In her first film role, she played a model in 1971's Klute, followed by roles in the disaster films Beyond the Poseidon Adventure and When Time Ran Out.She was the model in the last cigarette commercial televised in the U.S. (for Virginia Slims, aired at 11:59 p.m. on New Year's Day 1971 on The Tonight Show). Hamel had been a model in print ads not just for Slims, but also for Pall Mall Gold cigarettes.

An unscrupulous land developer, Big Jim Burns, ignores the protests of Native Americans as he violates their ancestral burial grounds. The local sheriff, Steve Evans, is caught in the middle of the conflict, as he is half Native American and half Caucasian. When one of Burns' construction crews unearths an ancient relic, they unleash a giant skeletal monster that proceeds to kill everyone in its path. Evans must deal with his rebellious daughter, unhelpful bureaucrats, and Johnny Black Hawk, a Native American who agitates for violence. After consulting with the local chief, Storm Cloud, Evans learns he must locate the relic and use it in ritual combat against the monster. Once the sheriff acquires the relic, Johnny Black Hawk attempts to take it from Evans and use it to get vengeance on the town; Evans is forced to kill him in self-defense. After donning war paint, Evans goes on to fight and ultimately defeat the Bone Eater.

A recent transplant from California, Dr. Paula Spencer has just lost her husband and is about to begin her new job at a local hospital, While she is there, a seemingly loving mother, Monica Shaw, brings her son, Eric, in for treatment for his illness. Private detective and former Drug Enforcement agent Parrish (Lindsay Frost) is hired to be a bodyguard for a week to 8-year-old Kimberly Howard (Deborah Ann Gorman), who currently serves the key role in the custody battle of her parents James (Joseph Hacker) and Glenna (Annabella Price). James fears that Glenna will run off with Kimberly, considering that she is losing the battle, is refusing alimony and is advised by the judge to seek psychiatric help. James is awarded temporary custody, and hires Parrish for assistance during his work hours. Parrish does not feel comfortable around children, and Kimberly immediately shows her lack of interest in her. Glenna, meanwhile, is heartbroken over having lost the case, and tells her lawyer that she hates how James can abuse Kimberly on a daily basis now. Her lawyer feels sorry for the woman and puts her in contact with former reporter Nettie Forbes (Veronica Hamel), who has spent a year in prison for attempting to murder the man who had abused and killed her daughter. Since then, Nettie specializes in helping mothers to kidnap their children from their abusive husbands, and she offers Glenna a new identity following the kidnapping of Kimberly.

D'anciens nazis l'ont également retrouvé et lui demandent de leur livrer des matériaux nucléaires en échange de leur silence. Finalement, il leur livrera une bombe sur un bateau de plaisance et mourra volontairement dans l'explosion avec ses anciens "camarades". Officiellement, il restera un héros pour son pays.

Adam Thornton (Edward Asner), an ill-tempered executive who walked out on his family, learns that he only has a little time left to live. He decides that he wants to make peace with them and have one last reunion. He confides this information to his estranged wife, Kate (Maureen Stapleton). But when his doctor says that it won't be good for him to travel, she suggests that he call his four adult children and invite them all for Christmas. He agrees only with the provision that they not be told of his illness and imminent death. The only problem is that most of them are not exactly fond of him because he walked out on Kate and of his stubborn nature. Of them, he is most nervous about seeing Bud (Gregory Harrison), whom he hasn't spoken to since having an argument with him regarding the Vietnam War and his move to Canada several years before.
