Elle débuta au cinéma à l'âge de 25 ans, en 1910, dans The Wonderful Wizard of Oz et finit sa carrière en 1927 avec le film de Cecil B. DeMille, Le Roi des rois. Elle fit cependant une dernière apparition dans un film musical parlant de 1936, signé par Victor Schertzinger.

Elle fut l'épouse de l'acteur George Fields de 1913 à 1918.

Based upon a summary in a film publication, Franklin Pinney (Arbuckle) is a member of the Yacht Club which is hosting a Prince at a dinner. Fearing that Franklin, who is not a blue blooded member, will commit some indiscretion, the members plan to have Kate Connelly (Greenwood), the club detective, lure him to a haunted house until after the ceremony. Tipson Blair (Dumont) has plans to kidnap the Prince and keep him prisoner at the haunted house. Kate gets Franklin to the haunted house, but a fight breaks out with the gang that is waiting for the Prince. Meanwhile, the Prince is playing hooky from the dinner and is out driving around with Peggy Bruce (Lee), whom Franklin loves. Out of curiosity they stop by the haunted house in time for the fight between Franklin and the gang. Members of the royal party arrive to save the Prince, and Franklin as the hero of the fight wins Peggy.

Le mariage de John Trott et Tilly Whaley est annulé lorsque le père de Tilly apprend la mauvaise réputation de Liz Trott, qu'il croit être la mère de John. As described in a film publication summary, Carlotta Peel (Ferguson), brought up by a maiden aunt with maiden ideas, secretly attends a concert by Emilie Diaz (Nagel). After the concert she meets the pianist and later succumbs to the strains of "Samson and Delilah" played by Emilie. Carlotta spends the night with Emilie and returns home the next morning to find her aunt dead. She does not see Emilie again, and after several years she is a well known novelist who is loved by her publisher, Frank Ispenlove (Holding). The publisher's wife Mary (Greenwood) commits suicide because of her husband's affair with Carlotta. Frank then kills himself. After some time and at a different locality, Carlotta finds Emilie, a victim of absinthe. She nurses him back to health and his musical gift is restored. She is now happy with her first love.

Il part alors avec la voiture de Teddy et en route a un accident avec un autre véhicule. Le conducteur de ce dernier retrouve la propriétaire à partir de la plaque d'immatriculation et fait un procès à Teddy. Raoul attaque aussi Teddy en justice pour les blessures dues à Gunboat, et même Ruby la poursuit pour avoir détourné l'affection de Gunboat. Sa famille refusant de l'aider, Teddy se tourne vers Gerry, qui résout ses ennuis et gagne sa main.

As described in a film magazine, Maggie Pepper (Clayton) is a self-reliant and snappy saleswoman who supports a young girl Claire (Wilson), the daughter of her sister-in-law Ada (Greenwood), who is in jail for shoplifting. Maggie is being courted by Jake Rothschild (Hatton) and has just rejected him when the young owner of the store, Joe Holbrook (Dexter), comes upon them. She mistakes Joe for a job seeker and advises him to stay away from a concern that is dying painlessly. Joe becomes interested and finds that the peppery young woman has ideas and vision. He is already engaged, but finds that the comparison of the women favors Maggie. Maggie, the victim of envy, is discharged. Her sister-in-law Ada, now released and led back to crime by a second husband Sam (Marshall), plans to do shoplifting at the Holbrook store. Maggie only wants the child to be free from bad influences, and accepts a job offer in Pittsburgh to get a better environment. There is a sensational attempt to steal the child, which brings Holbrook to the rescue. He feigns injury to keep a hold on Maggie, and ends up winning her.
