As Fibber McGee and Molly celebrate their 20th anniversary, they throw a large shindig, but everyone declines their invitation to the Silver Tip Lodge at Lake Arcadia. Discouraged, the McGees decide to have their own celebration—to relive their first honeymoon night at the Ramble Inn. Poursuivi par Tom autour de la basse-cour, Jerry se réfugie sous une énorme poule, plutôt d'humeur moyenne (qui ressemble étrangement à un coq), qui couve ses œufs (qu'elle met en ordre avec un triangle de billard !). Donc, Tom doit trouver tous les moyens pour faire sortir de sous la mère poule surprotectrice. Ensuite, les œufs éclosent et Jerry se colle desplumes sur lui-même pour faire semblant d'être un poussin. Tom échappe à la décapitation sure par des taille-haies géants non pas une, mais deux fois!
