À 9 ans, Joey vient de perdre son père. Mais une nuit, il réalise qu'il est en mesure d'entrer en contact avec lui par l'intermédiaire d'un de ses jouets, un petit téléphone rouge. Peu après, il se découvre des pouvoirs télékynétiques latents, et peut déplacer les objets à distance. Mais très vite, le rêve se transforme en cauchemar lorsque Joey découvre une étrange marionnette dans une demeure abandonnée voisine. Cette poupée de ventriloque est en effet habitée par un puissant démon, qui compte bien se servir des pouvoirs naissants de l'enfant pour son propre compte. Joey va-t-il accepter de faire usage de son pouvoir ? Et surtout, son défunt père peut-il l'aider ?

Set 23 years after an event called "The Cancellation", the film follows Tom, whose sister is captured by a local tribe. He sets out to find and rescue her, while avoiding the dangerous tribes he encounters along the way. Sandahl Bergman plays "She" who ends up aiding Tom after he escapes from her. She decides to help after learning of a prophecy given to her by a local seer.

While everybody else is preparing for Adam's and Adora's birthday, Adam is helping Man-At-Arms finish up the Sky Spy, a space shuttle intended to spy on Skeletor. The moment they head back to the palace, though, Orko gets inside the ship and messes around with the controls, causing the ship to blast off into the sky with him in it. Skeletor catches sight of the aircraft and, despite not knowing what it is or who is flying it, he gives chase after it in the Collector. Before he can take it down, He-Man and She-Ra, who are also unaware that Orko is in the Sky Spy, show up and punch a hole in the Collector, throwing it off course.

Transporté par accident sur Terre, Orko fait la connaissance de deux enfants durant la période de Noël. Ignorant tout des traditions terriennes, le petit magicien décide d'en savoir plus et décide de rester pour les festivités. De retour sur Eternia, c'est cette fois au tour des deux enfants qui l'ont aidé d'être piégé sur une planète qui n'est pas la leur. Il faudra toute l'ingéniosité de Musclor mais aussi de She-Ra pour que les deux bambins puissent revenir sain et sauf sur leur planète natale, ce qu ne semble pas chose facile avec les agissements de Hordak et ses sbires mais aussi de Skeletor qui semble s'être assagi au contact de la bonne humeur et l'esprit de fête qui accompagnent les deux enfants ...
