In the 1960s Polish People's Republic, Anna, a young novice nun, is told by her prioress that before she takes her vows she must visit her aunt, Wanda Gruz, who is her only surviving relative. Anna travels to visit her aunt Wanda, a chain-smoking, hard-drinking, sexually promiscuous judge who reveals that Anna's actual name is Ida Lebenstein. Ida's parents had been Jews who were murdered late in the German occupation of Poland during World War II (1939–45). Ida was then an infant, and as an orphan she'd been raised by the convent. Wanda, who'd been a Communist resistance fighter against the German occupation, had become the state prosecutor "Red Wanda" who sent "men to their deaths". Wanda's role alludes to "the political show trials of the early 1950s, when Poland’s Communist government used judicial terror (among other methods) to consolidate its power and eliminate its enemies.Genres RomanceActors Tanuj Virwani,

Beginning with a montage of bloopers entailing reporters losing their professional demeanor with cursing, freudian slips of sexual innuendos and ending with local channel KZLA6 (a likely parody of KTLA) segment reporter Meghan Miles (Elizabeth Banks) who has the undesired paranormal ability of turning cats psychotic towards her, being swarmed at an animal shelter, also an integral plot device. Meghan is being considered for an anchor position with the cnb network and her interview with network executives has her answering her final question, claiming "I'm a good girl". Two weeks after the interview, her producer, Dan Karlin (Willie Garson) receives a call that out-of-town Wendy Chang is being chosen over her, a likely tokenism requirement. Upset over her steady boyfriend leaving her and taking his stuff, her two friends take her out clubbing and Megan drinks heavily. Being locked out of the club on a fire escape from a one way door, Gordon, a handsome and charismatic man woos her and takes her to his place where they indulge in frat house-style games ending with Megan waking up in his bed in just her underwear. Receiving a call that Chang has racy pictures of her circulating and Megan is hired, has her collecting her clothes from around the place, she comes across a cat, with its eyes turning shiny. Trapping it under a box is futile as it reappears unrevealed. She flees the place with just her car keys, leaving behind her phone. Outside, her car is towed past her with her purse inside and the call buttons to the buildings residents is just numbers. Why Megan doesn't wait around for Gordon is unexplained, either she can't remember him or the area is too dangerous, she walks down the street, coming across an off duty taxi, but strongly insisting that he drive her to the "tow-to place", referring to the impound lot. He reluctantly does, instead driving her to the Tattoo strip club, Megan refusing to give in to his demand of "dances" has her dashing away, starting her slew of a misinterpreted crime spree of a hooker by the police force., 2h22

Forced to give up his land and his only home, cantankerous Texas rancher Red Bovie (Robert Duvall) isn't about to go quietly to the dismal trailer park that's all he can now afford, and instead goes off with his grandson Gally (son of his long-estranged son Jimmy) for a road trip to Old Mexico. They pick up two hitch-hikers who have stolen over $150,000 in drug money. But after Red drives off without them, unbeknownst to him the money remains in the car. They arrive in Mexico, still pursued by the drug dealers, who are pursued in turn by another hit-man looking to recover the stolen money. Red and Gally enjoy the town's attractions during the mexican festival of the dead. As night falls, they visit a brothel where Red dances with the madame. They later meet a singer named Patty Wafers who is down on her luck. She is immediately attracted to Red's fearless and outrageous behavior. Meanwhile, the hit-man kills the American drug dealers and is now in pursuit of Red. Red discovers the money and desires to keep it so that he can have a better life than the one promised by the trailer park. Patty tries to help them return undetected across the border with the money, but the hit-man catches up with them and takes it. They pursue him, then they pursue another hit-man who has taken the money in turn. As Red and Patty's affection grows, Red begins to lose interest, but Gally, seeking his identity after the death of his father, takes up the pursuit in his place. They eventually overpower the second hit man and recover the money. Patty invites Red to live with her in her small town where she was born in northern Mexico. He accepts and is happy to go with her, knowing that with $150,000, they will live like royalty. As they part ways and Gally returns to the U.S., Red tells Gally that he has "found himself a grandson".
