Pathé Films est le nom actuel de la société Renn Productions créée par Claude Berri, reprenant le nom de Katharina Renn qu'il connut au théâtre.

En 2002, elle fusionne avec la firme Pathé et devient Pathé Renn Productions.

Avec Nathalie Rheims, Claude Berri crée la société Hirsch Production (Hirsch étant le prénom du père de Claude Berri).

À la mort de Claude Berri, la société intègre le périmètre de Pathé Renn Productions, lui-même formé par la fusion en 2002 de Pathé et de Renn Productions, une des autres sociétés de production fondées par Claude Berri.

Le nom de la société est simplifié en Pathé Films.

Ancien dessinateur, Victor est aujourd'hui un sexagénaire désabusé. Son mariage avec Marianne bat de l'aile et il est désintéressé et dépassé par ce monde moderne trop technologique. Pour lui remonter le moral, son fils Maxime lui paie une soirée organisée par la société de son ami Antoine. Cette société propose à ses clients de revivre l'époque de leur choix, en mélangeant artifices théâtraux et reconstitution historique. Certains clients, fortunés, choisissent ainsi de passer une soirée avec William Faulkner, Adolf Hitler ou avec des aristocrates au XVII siècle. D'abord réticent, Victor accepte quand Marianne le met à la porte. Il opte alors pour replonger dans la semaine la plus marquante de sa vie, celle où il rencontra le grand amour, quarante ans auparavant, le 16 mai 1974, dans le café La Belle Époque à Lyon. Dans cette « mise en scène », Marianne est incarnée par Margot, une comédienne qui vit une relation compliquée et tumultueuse avec Antoine. Ce dernier, ancien scénariste, est très pointilleux et ne supporte aucune approximation de la part de ses collaborateurs. Peu à peu, Victor va se prêter au jeu, jusqu'à se perdre dans ces souvenirs « reconstitués ».

Richard (Daniel Auteuil), Gilles (Gérard Jugnot) et Philippe (François Berléand) sont des amis de cinquante ans. Embarquent aussi sur le bateau, le skipper Batistou (Jean-Philippe Ricci), corse à l'accent prononcé et amateur de guitare, et sa sœur qui fait office de stewart.

In France, 1810, a widowed merchant (André Dussollier) is forced to sell his town house and many of his belongings after his ships are lost at sea, leaving him bankrupt. Romain Faubert is a mature man who can never hide his hypochondriasis. Romain's fears are profitable for his doctor Dimitri Zvenka. He believes the sight of people who are really suffering might bring Romain to his senses. Yet Romain finally finds the love of his life when he gets to know Dimitri's sister who confuses him with Anton Miroslav, a certain freedom fighter. The real Anton Miroslav has stolen Romain's ID and is hiding in the apartment of the hypochondriac.

The film Amen. examines the links between the Vatican and Nazi Germany. The central character is Kurt Gerstein (Ulrich Tukur), a Waffen-SS officer employed in the SS Hygiene Institute, designing programs for the purification of water and the destruction of vermin. He is shocked to learn that the process he has developed to eradicate typhus, by using a hydrogen cyanide mixture called Zyklon B, is now being used for killing Jews in extermination camps. Gerstein attempts to notify Pope Pius XII (Marcel Iureş) about the gassings, but is appalled by the lack of response he gets from the Catholic hierarchy. The only person moved is Riccardo Fontana (Mathieu Kassovitz), a young Jesuit priest. Fontana and Gerstein attempt to raise awareness about what is happening to the Jews in Europe but even after Fontana appealing to the pope himself, the Vatican makes only a timid and vague condemnation of Hitler and Nazi Germany.

As a mother reads Little Red Riding Hood to her son, she is killed before his eyes. Later, five young actors including Sophie Jeanne and her four friends are invited to the castle of Axel de Fersen to act in a modernized stage-play of Little Red Riding Hood. They are greeted by the gamekeeper Stephane, Baron Berléand Fernsen, the owner who uses a wheelchair, and his deaf mute son Nicolas. After dinner, their host retires to bed as the five friends settle in for a night of drinking and dancing but soon find that the Baron has vanished, leaving only a blood stain. The actors return to party which upsets Sophie as she feels their behavior is disrespectful and oblivious to the danger. Sophie wants to leave the strange castle, but the others say that she could too easily get lost in the woods. Her friends are slowly killed one by one: Matilda is stabbed in the shower by a man disguised as a wolf and later Jeanne is killed. The three survivors begin to panic and try to find Stephane who they believe is the killer. When their other friend Wilfried is killed, Sophie accuses Matthew of being the murderer. This upsets Matthew, but the two soon meet up with the wolf: Axel de Fersen. Sophie manages to kill him and flees the castle with both Matthew and Nicolas.
