Synopsis
Pietro Pontechievello is a gay man who rents a large house in the historic center of Rome. In the abode Pietro quickly learns of strange and mysterious presences. The house is haunted by the ghosts of members of a theater company dating back to the times of fascism, and now they do not know that are dead. Indeed, the ghosts believe they are on leave to participate in a new show, and Pietro does not know how to drive the intruders from the building.Actors

Saturn in Opposition is the story of a group of very close friends in Rome and how they cope with the sudden death of one of their members. The original group, who have been together for many years, are two straight couples, Antonio and Angelica and Roberto and Neval; and a gay couple now separated, Sergio and Davide, a successful author. Relatively new additions to the group are Davide's current lover Lorenzo and Lorenzo's friend Roberta. The Cantones are a bourgeois family who own a pasta factory in Lecce in conservative Southern Italy. One of the two sons, Tommaso (Riccardo Scamarcio), returns from his studies in Rome and hopes to make the most of a family reunion to reveal his homosexuality. Tommaso discusses his plans with his elder brother, Antonio (Alessandro Preziosi), and also tells him about his desire to break away from the family business to become a writer in Rome.
