Synopsis
Star de country sur le déclin, Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) découvre Ally Campana (Lady Gaga), une jeune chanteuse très prometteuse. Tandis qu'ils tombent follement amoureux l'un de l'autre, Jack propulse Ally sur le devant de la scène et fait d'elle une artiste adulée par le public. Esther Blodgett is a talented aspiring singer with a band, and Norman Maine is a former matinee idol with a career in the early stages of decline. When he arrives intoxicated at a function at the Shrine Auditorium, the studio publicist attempts to keep him away from reporters. After an angry exchange, Norman rushes away and bursts onto a stage where an orchestra is performing. Mac Sledge (Robert Duvall), a washed up, alcoholic country singer, awakens at a run-down Texas roadside motel and gas station after a night of heavy drinking. The film begins with Beau (Hedlund), singing with Kelly (Paltrow), a recovering alcoholic going through rehab.
