Actrices (English: Actresses) is a French comedy-drama film directed by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, released in 2007. The film was presented in the official selection at the 60th Cannes Film Festival and won a Prix Spécial du Jury in the Un Certain Regard section.


Marcelline is an actress, haunted by Natalia Petrovna, the heroine of the Turgenev play A Month in the Country, that she is rehearsing, with a lot of trouble. To escape her torments she goes to the swimming pool, and swims, and listens to Glenn Miller.

Thomas is a writer-director of a new play, an adaptation of the 1870 novel Venus in Furs by Austrian author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch.
