Synopsis
Mariée au gérant du restaurant qui l'emploie, la serveuse Lulu Danger, qui se sent délaissée, fuit sa réalité en emportant le contenu de la caisse de son frère adopté vegan Adjay, dérobé par son mari, pour se terrer dans un motel avec un certain Colin. Insatisfaite par son mariage avec son époux Shane, qui n'est d'autre qu'une crapule qui l'a virée de son job, Lulu est intriguée par un show événement se déroulant lors d'une seule nuit dans sa ville, "Soirée avec Beverly Luff Lin : une nuit magique". La vedette du spectacle n'est d'autre qu'un ex de Lulu qui a marqué sa vie amoureuse. Alors que Colin, amoureux de Lulu, semble être jaloux de Beverly, ce dernier renoue avec Lulu mais son étrange acolyte Rodney, fou amoureux de lui, n'est pas prêt d'accepter sa présence féminine.Actors

The Mystery Team (Donald Glover, DC Pierson, and Dominic Dierkes) began with three children who styled themselves as detectives, solving mostly kid-related mysteries such as missing cats or a lost baseball, but also gaining some local fame. Somehow, the trio have remained as naïve as ever, although they are about to graduate from high school. They have continued the same mindset and antics even though they are teenagers, focusing on children's infractions, although adults (such as their parents) wonder when the teens will grow out of this attitude.

Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) is a 25-year-old process server and habitual pot smoker. He makes a visit to the home of his drug dealer, Saul Silver (James Franco), to buy weed. Saul tells him that he may already know the identity of Dale's next service, Ted Jones (Gary Cole). Dale drives to Ted's house and witnesses Ted and a cop, Officer Carol Brazier (Rosie Perez), shoot an Asian man to death. Dale panics and flees the area, but leaves his roach at the scene which contains a rare strain of marijuana called Pineapple Express. Ted is able to identify the strain and sends his two henchmen, Budlofsky and Matheson (Kevin Corrigan and Craig Robinson) to dealer Red (Danny McBride), who tells them that he has only sold the pot to Saul.

Jude Keffy-Horn (Asa Butterfield) is a teenage boy who lives in Vermont with his adoptive mother, Harriet (Julianne Nicholson), and sister, Prudence (Nadia Alexander). When he finds out that Eliza, who is also the daughter of Les' girlfriend, Di (Emily Mortimer), is pregnant with the child of deceased Teddy after an encounter on the night Teddy died, he and Johnny, along with Les, become Eliza's rock as she struggles through pregnancy so early on in life, and the three become a family of sorts, in hopes to raise the child together. Meanwhile, Di struggles with her relationship with Les, and Harriet struggles with the prospect of her growing children.

Four vampires - Viago, Vladislav, Deacon, and Petyr - share a flat in the Wellington suburb of Te Aro. Although Viago, Vladislav, and Deacon are all several centuries old, they have retained normal human appearances, but the 8,000-year-old Petyr resembles Count Orlok and acts more savagely than the younger vampires.
