Arnold's Wrecking Company is the first film written and directed by Steven E. de Souza, released in 1973. It was filmed on Library Place, Princeton, New Jersey, with residents of the home of Ellwood and Shirley Kauffman receiving credits for their work. Business-manager-to be Scott Kauffman made a cameo appearance as the younger version of de Souza's character, Kenny.
Synopsis
From the film's promotional materials: "Arnold Berman is a klutz. Just ask his cousin Kenny, who has to put up with him over summer vacation from college. Arnold has to be seen to be believed: an uptight, unreal, super-straight Business major who's a whiz at accounting and a failure at everything else. Kenny and his pal Rollo turn Arnold on to a little grass to loosen him up, but they don't realize the demons they've set free: for the now-swinging Arnold becomes a pothead Horatio Alger and soon has them all in the midst of a multi-million-dollar grass-dealing firm complete with snazzy executive offices, a fleet of delivery trucks, group insurance, and a little league team. All of this does not escape the attention of either the local police or the local "organization," and the result is a free-enterprise free-for-all in which the customers are as high as the company stock.Actors

The plot is centered on two underachieving pot smokers: Silas (Method Man) and Jamal (Redman). Brilliant surgeon Daniel Jekyll (Mark Blankfield) dedicates himself to medical research, hoping to unlock man's animal nature and increase his capacity for self-healing. Jekyll accidentally creates a white powder which, when inhaled through the nose, temporarily turns him into a completely uninhibited sex maniac who calls himself Mister Hyde. Jekyll can't bring himself to throw away the drug or to stop taking it, and Hyde's escapades play havoc with Jekyll's life. Jude Keffy-Horn (Asa Butterfield) is a teenage boy who lives in Vermont with his adoptive mother, Harriet (Julianne Nicholson), and sister, Prudence (Nadia Alexander). When he finds out that Eliza, who is also the daughter of Les' girlfriend, Di (Emily Mortimer), is pregnant with the child of deceased Teddy after an encounter on the night Teddy died, he and Johnny, along with Les, become Eliza's rock as she struggles through pregnancy so early on in life, and the three become a family of sorts, in hopes to raise the child together. Meanwhile, Di struggles with her relationship with Les, and Harriet struggles with the prospect of her growing children.

Deux couseurs et une cardeuse travaillent à la fabrication de matelas, puis s’en vont déjeuner. Un homme mal fagoté et apparemment ivre arrive alors, s'agite et se roule dans le tas de rembourrage, puis se cache dans une enveloppe de matelas qui attendait d'être cousue. Les trois ouvriers reviennent et cousent le matelas, ce qui coince sans qu’ils le sachent l’homme ivre à l’intérieur. Un ouvrier plante ensuite une aiguille sur la partie où l’homme est endormi, ce qui a pour effet de le faire se lever et bouger dans tous les sens, toujours enfermé dans le matelas, à la grande frayeur des trois autres personnes présentes. Les passants partent également en courant. Il se rend alors dans un café, « Vinasse », et fait fuir de peur le personnel et les clients. On appelle un policier, qui se bat avec l'homme-matelas, et réussit sans le vouloir à l’en sortir, mais cela créé un grand désordre dans l’établissement. L'homme écrase ensuite le policier sous une masse de meubles et se met à boire. Le film se termine avec la mention : « À votre santé / Good health / Prosit, !!! ». L'ivrogne apparaît enfin seul sur un fond noir, riant, avec verre et bouteilles dans les bras.

Jesse and Chester awaken with hangovers and no memory of the previous night. The television is on, showing an Animal Planet program about how animals use twigs and rocks as tools to get food. Their refrigerator is filled with containers of chocolate pudding, and the answering machine contains an angry message from their twin girlfriends Wilma and Wanda as to their whereabouts. They emerge from their home to find Jesse's car missing, and with it their girlfriends' one-year anniversary presents. This prompts Jesse to ask the film's titular question: "Dude, where's my car?"
