L'Astragale is a 2015 French drama film directed by Brigitte Sy. It is the second film adaptation of the 1965 semi-autobiographical novel L'Astragale by Albertine Sarrazin, after Guy Casaril's L'Astragale (1968).

Synopsis

Une nuit d’avril 1957. Albertine, 19 ans, saute du mur de la prison où elle purge une peine pour braquage. Dans sa chute, elle se brise l’os du pied : l’astragale. Elle est secourue par Julien, repris de justice, qui l’emmène et la cache chez une amie à Paris. Pendant qu’il mène sa vie de malfrat en province, elle réapprend à marcher dans la capitale. Julien est arrêté et emprisonné. Seule et recherchée par la police, elle se prostitue pour survivre et, de planque en planque, de rencontre en rencontre, lutte au prix de toutes les audaces pour sa fragile liberté et pour supporter la douloureuse absence de Julien…

Carson quickly gets married to Rachel, and inherits. Carson and Rachel decide to kill the two other women and keep all the money for themselves. However, Rachel, along with Brandi and Linda, are also plotting to kill Carson so that Rachel can inherit as a grieving widow and split the money three ways. Rachel does murder Carson and inherits his money. Rather than split the money, Rachel plots to murder Brandi, as well as Linda, to keep all of the inheritance money for herself. Brandi, anticipating that Rachel might do just that, plots a scheme of her own to kill Rachel. However, Linda has an agenda of her own to steal the money for herself, along with her shadowy partner-in-crime who is the mastermind behind everything.
