Synopsis
Pour sa troisième année sur le campus, Alex Moran est proclamé Roi de Blue Mountain State par ses pairs, en plus d’être promu pour la deuxième année consécutive quarter-back titulaire de l’équipe de l’université. Cependant, le destin de l’équipe va être chamboulé le jour où le nouveau doyen de l’école met aux enchères leur maison. April O'Neil (Megan Fox), a reporter for Channel 6 Eyewitness News in New York City, investigates a crime wave by criminals called the Foot Clan. At a dock at night, she sees the Foot raiding cargo containers. After an unseen vigilante attacks the thieves, April notices a symbol left behind. Ha, nicknamed "Little Monster" (Yuen Biao), is an elite member of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force. One time while arresting a criminal, Ha accidentally humiliates Chief Inspector Tin (Paul Chun), whom is demoted as a result. Lui Kung (Lowell Lo), another CID officer, causes Tin's wife to give birth prematurely in a car accident while chasing criminals. Later, Ha and Kung were transferred to the Case Analysis Division, where they are supervised by Tin. Kung has a younger sister, Lui Lui (Kara Hui), whom he cares for and treasures deeply and he does not allow anyone to pursue her. However, due to coincidences, Ha gets to know Lui and they develop a romantic relationship, much to the displeasure of Kung. Later, Ha and Kung work together to capture Lee Wai Fung (Charlie Cho), a former undercover cop who has gone rogue and becoming the biggest drug trafficker in Asia.

In the San Fernando Valley during the summer of the early 1960s, protagonist Scotty Smalls moves into a new town with his mother and stepfather, and joins a local baseball team under captain Benjamin "the Jet" Rodriguez. With Benjamin's help, Scotty becomes a proficient player; but everybody learns that more than 150 of the team's numerous baseballs have ended up in the backyard fence of the sandlot, which is protected by an English Mastiff, a legendary ball-eating dog known as "The Beast," who belongs to his neighbor, Mr. Mertle. One day, the team's last ball lands in "The Beast's" possession, and Scotty substitutes one from his stepfather's collection, which is earlier signed by Babe Ruth. When this, too, is lost, the team construct a series of machines (each of them more complex than the last) to recover it remotely; but every time they ultimately fail. Inspired by a dream of Ruth (whom he admires), Benjamin is the first to seize the ball himself, while the others trap "The Beast;" whereupon Benjamin and Scotty return the latter to his owner, Mr. Mertle, who reveals that he himself knew Ruth, and later becomes the team's coach. Over the next three decades, Benjamin becomes a famous MLB player, and Scotty becomes a sports announcer.
