Buddha in a Traffic Jam is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and stars Arunoday Singh and Mahi Gill, while the other members of the cast include Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and introducing Anchal Dwivedi.
"Buddha In A Traffic Jam" premiered in the 2014 version of Mumbai International Film Festival in the India Gold category with a standing ovation and great reviews. The film was also bestowed awards and was the opening film in the 7th Global Film Festival besides participation in The Jaipur International Film Festival in February 2015.
The critically acclaimed film is also an official entry in the 5th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival besides bagging three nominations in Madrid International Film Festival in the Best Foreign Language Film, Best Original Screenplay in a Foreign Language and Best Lead Actress in a Foreign Language Film to actress Mahi Gill.
Synopsis
Vikram Pandit Arunoday Singh is a happy-go-lucky management student from a top Business School of India. He becomes an overnight sensation after a successful internet campaign against the radical fundamentalism of moral policing in India.Actors

ZID starts off with a flashback which has the film's protagonist Rohan (Karanvir Sharma), a crime reporter with 'The Daily'(a newspaper based in Goa), narrating an incident to his newspaper's editor Karan(Mohan Kapoor) and the area's DSP (Rajeev Saxena). He says that with the help of the editor, he found a rented house at his friend's outhouse located far away from the rest of Goan civilisation. Even though the said place looks haunted, Rohan still adjusts himself to the situation despite having a paralysed owner, who is driven on a wheelchair throughout and who also happens to be the father of Maya (Mannara Chopra). For Maya, it is love at first sight when she sees Rohan, who incidentally is recovering from a break-up with Priya (Shraddha Das), his girlfriend of many years and who is now settled in London. While Maya leaves no stone unturned to get Rohan's attention, Rohan seems to be still 'lost in love' about Priya.

Kavya Krishna (Paoli Dam) and her best friend, Vicky, pull an anti-operation against one of the biggest business tycoons, which happens to be Siddharth Dhanrajgir's company. They take pictures of a few black-business deals and write an article that gets published. Siddharth, being a rich and cocky tycoon, wants revenge, so he calls Kavya up for coffee. Anuradha Verma (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) is a prominent criminal lawyer and a single mother who has never lost a case. One day her daughter Sanaya (Sara Arjun) is kidnapped and no ransom is demanded, but instead the kidnapper contacts her and tells her that she has to defend a convicted felon to get her daughter back. The felon is Miyaaz Shaikh (Chandan Roy Sanyal) who is convicted for rape and murder of a young woman and the case against him is set for judgment in four days. The kidnapper keeps track of Anuradha very closely to make sure she complies with his demand. With the pressure of time against her, Anuradha tries to get help from her suspended police friend Yohan (Irrfan Khan) who has been suspended from the police force for flaunting the rules and regulations too often. The case against Miyaaz Shaikh is handled by a renowned public prosecutor (Atul Kulkarni) who has been defeated by Anuradha and hence has a long time professional rivalry against her. Anuradha races against time and saves her daughter by twisting the laws to win the case.
