Buying the Cow is a 2002 American comedy film directed by Walt Becker and starring Jerry O'Connell, Ryan Reynolds, Alyssa Milano and Bridgette L. Wilson.

Synopsis

Although he has had a relationship with her for five years now, David is too afraid to commit to his girlfriend Sarah, who is pressuring him into proposing to her. While she goes away to New York for work for two months, David's friends persuade him to experience the wild dating scene one more time. Meanwhile, Mike realises he is gay and comes out of the closet.

The film begins with a trot performance by various characters during the opening credits. Alex Whitman (Matthew Perry) is an architect from New York City who is sent to Las Vegas to supervise the construction of a nightclub that his firm has been hired to build. The story concerns a group of guys who have made a deal to each invest in a fund, which would be paid to the last remaining bachelor of the group.
