Synopsis
Paul Reis est un jeune professeur de sport engagé dans un établissement scolaire religieux pour garçons où il fut autrefois un élève. Il retrouve un de ses anciens professeurs, monsieur Dobbs, et fait connaissance avec un autre enseignant, M. Mailley, beaucoup plus froid et étrange, redouté par les écoliers. Très vite, de violents incidents éclatent entre eux et bouleversent le quotidien de l'école. Reis suspecte Mailley d'être à l'origine de leur changement de comportement.Actors

Famed playwright Sidney Bruhl (Caine) debuts the latest in a series of Broadway flops and returns to his opulent Long Island home and his wife, Myra (Cannon). Although their financial situation is not dire, Sidney is hungry for a hit. He has received a manuscript of a play called Deathtrap written by one of his students, Clifford Anderson, that he considers near perfection. Clifford recently attended one of Sidney's writing workshops and now asks for input on his play. Sidney suggests that he murder Clifford and producing the play as his own. He invites Clifford to their secluded home, decorated with weapons from Sidney's plays, to discuss it.

Sometime later, Jeb introduces Myrtle to his multiracial half-brother Chicken – on his father's side – who earned his name for hoarding chickens to the rooftop during their childhood. Myrtle eventually shares her background in show business as the last surviving member of an Alabama female quintet named the Mobile Hot-Shots.
