Synopsis
Tōru, a struggling securities trader in Tokyo, learns that his father Isao has died in a mountain rescue operation. He returns to his home town in the mountains of central Japan for the wake. He spontaneously decides to quit his prestigious job and take over the remote mountain hut that Isao operated during the summer season. Helping him are Ai, a young woman who's an excellent cook, and Goro, a somewhat mysterious friend of Isao's.Actors

The film begins with footage from Asahi Shimbun's special expedition to the Yamato wreckage in 1999, then to a woman, Makiko Uchida, visiting the Yamato Museum in Kure, Hiroshima on 6 April 2005. She is looking for a boat to take her to the site where the Yamato sank, to honor the crew on the 60th anniversary of the ship's last battle. Katsumi Kamio, a survivor who is now a fisherman, agrees to take her after he discovers she was an adopted daughter of Petty Officer First Class Mamoru Uchida, a crewman and close friend who he thought went down with the ship.

Obligé de remplacer son collègue malade au pied levé, un jeune Japonais est envoyé par son entreprise en Chine, afin de mettre au jour un filon de pierres précieuses. In a flashback, Hiko Seijūrō finds young Shinta digging graves for bandits and slavers killed in battle. Shinta explains that all people are only bodies after death. Hiko decides to take Shinta as his student and names him "Kenshin". Kenshin wakes up at Master Hiko's home, and asks if his friend (Kaoru) was also washed up. He has been unconscious for three days, and master tells him that his friend is most likely dead. Kenshin asks to learn the final Hiten Mitsurugi technique, "Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki", in order to defeat Shishio Makoto and prevent his onslaught. Hiko agrees, and the two engage in a duel to start his training.

On the surface, Shizuko (Aya Sugimoto) is a beautiful and talented tango dancer married to a handsome and successful businessman Takayoshi Tōyama, but she is troubled by recurrent masochistic dreams and her inability to be sexually aroused by her husband. But her husband is heavily indebted to gangsters and yakuza boss Kanzō Morita also has a video supplied by Kawada, a disgruntled former employee, which implicates Tōyama in a bribery scheme. Morita tells Tōyama that his only recourse is his beautiful wife who is an obsession to his mentor, the politically powerful Ippei Tashiro. When Tōyama finds that Tashiro is 95 years old, he convinces himself that turning his wife over to him will not be a major problem. When he brings his wife to the supposed masked ball, however, she is kidnapped and made part of a private bondage show for the elderly yakuza chief and his twisted friends. Shizuko resists at first but submits when her female bodyguard Kyōko (who has also been kidnapped) is submitted to sexual torture and threatened with death. Shizuko is then subjected to a series of punishments including abundant rope bondage. When her husband repents and finally reaches her after paying the yakuza, her only response is "Do me!".
