Synopsis
Felix se trouve sur une pente. Maintenant, il n'a qu'une seule chose en tête : Valérie - sa femme -, qui l'a quitté. Il remonte à l'endroit de la séparation finale. L'ex-amant de Valérie, Thomas, est aussi ici, mais pas à cause des vieux souvenirs. Par coïncidence, les deux hommes se rencontrent dans un restaurant. Lorsque Felix est conscient de qui il a rencontré, commence une confusion dramatique.Actors

Dans les années 1950, un adolescent orphelin quitte le foyer dans lequel il est élevé pour être placé dans une famille de fermiers qui reçoit de l'argent en compensation de son accueil. Il passe des moments difficiles dans cet environnement dur et voit arriver un peu plus tard une jeune fille un peu plus jeune que lui et qui est placée là parce que sa mère ne peut plus subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de ses deux petites sœurs. Le jeune homme est passionné de musique et joue remarquablement de l'accordéon. Un jour, après avoir entendu à la radio un morceau de bandonéon argentin, il rêve de quitter cet environnement, dans lequel on le traite comme un animal, pour aller en Argentine, là où la vie lui semble plus facile. La fille est du même avis et rêve de partir avec lui.

Martha Klein (Martina Gedeck) is a chef at Lido, a gourmet restaurant in Hamburg, Germany. A perfectionist who lives only for her work, Martha has difficulty relating to the world other than through food. Her single-minded obsession with her culinary craft occasionally leads to unpleasant confrontations with customers. Consequently, the restaurant owner, Frida (Sibylle Canonica), requires her to see a therapist (August Zirner) to work out her poor interpersonal skills.
