Cruel Jaws, also known as The Beast, is a 1995 American direct-to-video thriller film. The film stars Richard Dew and was directed by Italian filmmaker Bruno Mattei (under the name of William Snyder). It was released on DVD in relative obscurity. While marketed in many areas as Jaws 5: Cruel Jaws, it is actually not part of the Jaws franchise.
Synopsis
The coastal town of Hampton Bay is threatened when a 35-foot great white shark starts chomping up their vacationers. Days before the annual Regatta celebration, the townspeople are faced with financial ruin if something isn't done about their newfound shark problem. If that wasn't enough, the owners of the local amusement park have been subject to a hostile takeover from a prospective businessman looking to cash in on their prized property. It's then up to the sheriff, the park's owner, and a shark expert to head out and kill the shark before the summer economy is slashed and the park is demolished.Jaws movies

The film takes place along a stretch of coastline somewhere in Florida in the United States, where a local tourist spot has become plagued by a mysterious marine creature. Little do they know, the monster is the product of a secret military experiment — a genetic hybrid mutated from a common octopus and the prehistoric super-predator Dunkleosteus. Unfortunately, the creature has broken loose, and is now feeding on swimmers and tourists swimming or sailing along the coast. Also, the monster is only an infant, and will continue to grow if it is left to hunt much longer.

A group of scientists are taken to a secluded island where nuclear weapons testing occurred in 1958, in order to investigate sightings of mutated animals, and allegations of a monster. On the island, overgrown crabs are discovered, and the researchers and their ship's crew are stalked and spied on by an unseen being. After a nuclear holocaust in 2015 the survivors are divided between those who live in comfortable underground cities and the "New Primitives" who live in the sunlight. A group of these comes across a mysterious village. A megalodon (prehistoric shark) is accidentally awakened by an oil company's explorations, trapping a group of art thieves and a group of young female college students on an abandoned island in the middle of a lake. Invité à Londres par le gouvernement britannique pour participer à une conférence de l'OTAN comme spécialiste en combat contre les requins, Fin est entraîné par Nova à explorer un temple souterrain situé sous Stonehenge. En s'en emparant, Fin et Nova déclenchent involontairement un Sharkado mondial qui frappe successivement les plus grandes villes du monde : Londres, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Tokyo... Leur fils Gil ayant été aspiré par la tornade à Londres, Fin et sa femme April la poursuivent à travers le monde, pour tenter de sauver leur fils et empêcher la fin du monde.

Des explorateurs en expédition s'aventurent trop loin dans la forêt amazonienne et tombent entre les mains d'une tribu isolée de cannibales qui s'empare d'eux. Le groupe comprend également la fille d'un sénateur américain ; elle réussit à contacter son père qui envoie dans la jungle un groupe de soldats expérimentés pour tenter de sauver les malheureux. Mais dans l'enfer de la jungle ce sont maintenant les soldats qui sont en danger : leurs armes en effet se révèlent insuffisantes pour faire face aux cannibales. L'horreur la plus atroce a commencé pour affronter ces indigènes anthropophages.
