Synopsis
Crystal est une jeune new-yorkaise. Ces parents décide de mettre fin a leur aide afin qu'elle trouve un travaille. Un jour, en faisant les boutiques vers Noël, elle découvre une lettre adressée au Père Noël d'une petite fille, dans laquelle il est dit que son cadeau le plus cher serait d'avoir une maman. Pour se remettre d'un très grave accident de voiture, Bobby a besoin d'une très lourde opération et de longs mois de convalescence. At Chicago O'Hare International Airport, a group of Marines have just returned to the US from Iraq. As the Marines leave, one Marine remains and makes his way towards the exit. Elizabeth Lane (Barbara Stanwyck) is a single food writer living in New York whose articles about her fictitious Connecticut farm and her husband and baby are admired by housewives across the country. In 1995, Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) is an obese, curly-haired high school student with a lisp, braces, and a "gentle giant" demeanor. He attends the graduation party of his best friend, Jamie Palamino (Amy Smart), whom he secretly has a huge romantic crush on. He plans to confess his feelings by writing them in Jamie's yearbook.
