Add to a movie listDil Ka Rishta (Hindi: दिल का रिश्ता, Urdu: دل کا رشتہ, English: Relationship of the heart) is a Bollywood movie, directed by Naresh Malhotra and produced by Aditya Rai, Aishwarya Rai's brother. It was produced and distributed under Aishwarya's own Target Films banner and Tips Industries Limited. The film was released on 17 January 2003. The film stars Arjun Rampal and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles with Isha Koppikar, Rakhee, Paresh Rawal and Priyanshu Chatterjee in supporting roles. It had a very good opening in England and it was the only Indian film at 12th position that time.
Synopsis
Dil Ka Rishta is about a young man named Jai (Arjun Rampal). He is very wealthy and supports many charities. One day, he accompanies his friend Anita (Ishaa Koppikar) to a school for the deaf. There, he meets Tia (Aishwarya Rai), a teacher, and falls in love with her. He helps her wherever he can and tries to be near her—and he believes that Tia feels something for him, too. Wealthy industrialist Yashpal Nanda (Saeed Jaffrey) is widowed, and lives with his daughter, Nisha(Pinky Singh), and two sons, Vijay (Rahul Roy), and Arjun (Govinda). In mid-2000s, the illegal drug trade based in Kuala Lumpur is booming. The Malaysian authorities are called upon for assistance by their Indian counterparts. The Indian team sent to Kuala Lumpur is headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police D'Silva (Boman Irani), who targets the illegal drug operations of Singhania (Rajesh Khattar). Helping him along the way is Inspector Vishal Malik (Om Puri), an Indian officer from Interpol. Both of them know that in order to put an end to the illegal drug trade, they must capture "Don" (Shah Rukh Khan) who manages Singhania's business in Kuala Lumpur. Singhania was one of the two closest and most trusted men of Boris, a criminal who went underground and was presumed dead by the police. Boris's other lieutenant was a man called Vardhan, equally ruthless as Singhania, but his whereabouts are unknown. The police thinks that Singhania had killed Vardhan upon learning that Boris was about to hand over his drug business to Vardhan.

The story begins starts with the birth of a baby girl, Raja Nandini, in the world of feudal landlords - Zamindars - whose word is law for the villagers who work on their land.
