Synopsis
Dans un village karen au nord de la Thaïlande, une jeune fille, Nora, et son petit frère, Luka, s'occupent des animaux en utilisant le don qu'a Luka pour communiquer par télépathie avec toutes les formes de vie. Ils sont accompagnés de leur animal familier, un tapir de Malaisie. Dans leur village, qui s'élève à l'orée d'une forêt, Nora suit l'enseignement d'une prêtresse âgée et bienveillante qui vit dans une grande proximité avec la nature. Un jour, après avoir pris soin d'un oisillon perdu, ils contemplent avec inquiétude l'apparition dans le ciel d'étranges zébrures de feu. Peu après, Sam, un jeune scout fils du Président Johnson, Président de Capitalville, la capitale mondiale, tombe par erreur dans un ravin près de leur village. Nora, Luka et les villageois le soignent mais, à son réveil, il commence par se montrer écœuré et moqueur en découvrant leur mode de vie. Sam est un passionné de nouvelles technologies d'information et de communication qui ne peut pas vivre sans son ordinateur portable et sa montre-téléphone dotée d'un GPS. Mais il peine à se faire prendre au sérieux par son père le Président, d'autant que juste avant son accident il a perturbé une importante cérémonie scout internationale annuelle en tentant d'atterrir en deltaplane et non en hélicoptère. Nora et Luka sont d'abord en colère contre Sam, mais leur dispute est interrompue par un cataclysme mondial : des crevasses de feu s'ouvrent dans le ciel, correspondant à des trous dans la couche d'ozone, et il en tombe tous les satellites artificiels jusque-là en orbite autour de la Terre. Des créatures inconnues, minuscules, très rapides et qui semblent faites de feu, ont pris le contrôle des satellites et tentent d'envahir la région en pénétrant dans toutes les machines électriques ou électroniques pour les changer en pantins dévastateurs. Lorsque les créatures s'engouffrent toutes dans l'ordinateur portable de Sam, Nora parvient à les détruire en expédiant l'objet dans une mare. Nora et Luka acceptent à contrecœur de le raccompagner chez lui. Sur la route, Sam découvre le savoir et les talents de Nora et de Luka pour comprendre leur milieu naturel, mettre à profit la flore sans la gâcher et communiquer avec la faune. Une amitié commence à se nouer entre les trois enfants.Actors

Le film se déroule à Beaumont-les-Vignes, une commune fictive du sud-est de la France, dans un avenir proche. Deux sœurs, tante Hilda et Dolorès, ont suivi des parcours diamétralement opposés. Hilda, une jeune femme rousse à la silhouette dégingandée, est farouchement écologiste : elle se déplace à bicyclette, se préoccupe constamment de la préservation de l'environnement et a rassemblé un musée végétal où elle conserve toutes sortes de plantes. Dolorès, elle, est devenue la PDG sans scrupules d'une entreprise multinationale de l'agroalimentaire recherchant le profit à court terme. Grâce à la technologie des OGM, qui consiste à modifier génétiquement les plantes, Dolorès a mis au point une nouvelle céréale, baptisée Attilem, une sorte d'artichaut géant doté de tentacules. Ce nouveau produit, capable de pousser avec très peu d'eau et sans engrais, qui devrait lui rapporter des bénéfices astronomiques. Elle affirme même qu'il pourrait résoudre le problème de la faim dans le monde et remplacer le pétrole comme nouvelle source d'énergie. Mais bientôt, les plantes Attilem commencent à pousser trop vite, hors de tout contrôle, et envahissent le monde entier. Dolorès fait alors concevoir un pesticide qu'elle se propose de vendre aux gouvernements pour lutter contre la catastrophe qu'elle a elle-même provoquée. Tante Hilda ne l'entend pas de cette oreille et entreprend de sauver le monde, mais la partie n'est pas gagnée d'avance.

When the evil alien Zanon comes to enslave earth, all hope seems lost. The Earth's resident superheroes, the Spacewomen, are powerless to stop him. The Friend of All Children then battles Gyaos (a huge flying vampiric bat/pterosaur), Zigra (an alien shark), Viras (a space squid), Jiger (a giant phehistoric dinosaur), Guiron (a knife-headed extraterrestrial demon beast) and finally Barugon (a enormous lizard whose tongue sprays a freezing liquid that can freeze things solid and a massive back which emits a powerful rainbow energy ray that can melt or dissolve any hard solids). Gamera self-destructs in the end to destroy Zanon once and for all and protect the earth.

In the year 2058, Earth will soon be uninhabitable due to irreversible effects of pollution. The United Global Space Force prepares the first launch for the colonization of a distant planet much like our own. Meanwhile, a terrorist group, the Global Sedition, wants to interrupt the colonization to be able to take over the same planet themselves. Professor John Robinson, lead scientist of the Jupiter Mission, prepares to take his wife Maureen, daughters Judy and Penny and son Will on a 10-year mission in suspended animation to the nearby planet Alpha Prime, where they will build a companion "hypergate" to the one orbiting Earth. The project is accelerated after Global Sedition terrorists attack Earth's hypergate, but are stopped by fighter pilots, one of whom is Major Don West. When the pilot for the Jupiter Mission is murdered, West is assigned as his replacement.

Strange events are taking place in Okinawa. An Azumi priestess has a terrifying vision of a city being destroyed by a giant monster. A type of metal not found on earth is discovered in a cave by a spelunker, Masahiko Shimizu, who takes it to Professor Miyajima for examination. An excavation led by Masahiko's brother Keisuke accidentally uncovers a chamber filled with ancient artifacts and a mural bearing an ominous prophecy: "When a black mountain appears above the clouds, a huge monster will arise and try to destroy the world; but then, when the red moon sets and the sun rises in the west, two more shall appear to save humanity." Keisuke is joined by archaeologist Saeko Kaneshiro, who translates the prophecy and takes one of the artefacts, bearing the likeness of the legendary monster King Caesar, to study. Two men stalk them, one who speaks to them and claims to be a reporter interested in the story, the other of whom attempts to steal the statue from them but fails and flees.

One thousand years have passed since the Seven Days of Fire, an apocalyptic war that destroyed human civilization and gave birth to the vast Toxic Jungle, a forest swarming with giant mutant insects in which everything is lethal to humans. Scattered settlements exist wherever the Toxic Jungle relents, with the Valley of the Wind being one such settlement. The story begins in late 1960s Japan. A group of tanuki are threatened by a gigantic suburban development project called New Tama, in the Tama Hills on the outskirts of Tokyo. The development is cutting into their forest habitat and dividing their land. The story resumes in early 1990s Japan, during the early years of the Heisei era. With limited living space and food decreasing every year, the tanuki begin fighting among themselves for the diminishing resources, but at the urging of the matriarch Oroku ("Old Fireball"), they decide to unify to stop the development.

In 2805, Earth is long-abandoned and covered in heaps of garbage leftover from decades of mass consumerism, facilitated by the megacorporation Buy 'n' Large (BnL). Seven hundred years earlier, BnL evacuated Earth's population in fully automated starliners, leaving behind WALL-E trash compactor robots to clean the planet for humanity's eventual return, however the plan failed and all the bots were shut off. Only one WALL-E robot remains active, and has developed sentience after so many years of life-experience. He manages to remain active by repairing himself using parts from other inactive units.
