L'armée américaine procède dans une usine désaffectée à des recherches concernant la mort, et tente de mettre au point un vaccin permettant de faire revenir à la vie. Endless warfare and environmental pollution have resulted in the frequent appearance of monsters. The Earth Defense Force (EDF) is established. Mutant humans with extraordinary physical capabilities are discovered and are organized into an EDF troop called the M-Organization. Their main opponent is Godzilla, first sighted in 1954. After repeated battles, Godzilla is captured in a crevasse at the South Pole and buried under an avalanche of ice. The EDF ship Gotengo, commanded by Captain Gordon, battles and destroys Manda but in the process, the ship is wrecked and Gordon is dismissed from the EDF. At M headquarters, mutants Ozaki and Kazama spar before their next mission.

Temujin (Sorimachi Takashi) is born the son of the chief of a Mongolian tribe, and grows up as the one who carries the blood of “blue wolf”. When he is grown up, he marries Borte (Kikukawa Rei), but one night, she is taken away by another tribe. When Temujin rescues her, she is pregnant, and a boy is born not long thereafter. As the boy may be a son of a stranger, Temujin names him Jochi (Matsuyama Kenichi), meaning outsider, and refuses to accept him as his son. The time goes on and Temujin is enthrowned as the King of Mongolia. He changes his name to Genghis Khan and pledges to avenge his long-time enemy, the Jin Dynasty. Genghis Khan finally acknowledges Jochi as his own son, and they decide to fight together, but Jochi is killed by the enemy. The lonely battle of Genghis continues without end. A historical drama about the life of Genghis Khan, a hero who united the Mongol Empire.

In Romania, theology student Allison has come into possession of The Lexicon, a mysterious book of prophecies that writes itself. This book contains a 23rd chapter of the book of Revelations, which is still not complete. The last chapter depicts the end of the war of angels and the name of the Antichrist. One of the angels who fell with Satan, Belial (now a demon), wants this book. Simon, a good angel, opposes him and guides Allison by taking advantage of her mental illness to speak directly to her. While searching for Allison and the book, and to avoid detection, Belial murders people and takes their form.

An encounter in the bar of the Mexico City branch of the Camino Real Hotels, between tired businessman Danny Wright (Greg Kinnear), hoping to land a life-saving contract in Mexico, and jaded, falling-apart-at-the-seams assassin Julian Noble (Pierce Brosnan), leads both men into an awkward friendship. After an uncomfortable-at-times conversation, Danny leaves the bar. Julian apologizes and invites him to see a bullfight. During the spectacle, Julian reveals the kind of work he truly does, and when Danny is skeptical, takes Danny through the steps of murdering a portly spectator in the arena bathroom. Danny is shocked at how easily Julian can get within inches of the man, even though Julian ends the "tutorial" without going through with the murder.
