Synopsis
En Afrique du Sud, dix ans après la fin de l'Apartheid, Sox Moraka (Tony Kgoroge), un jeune noir sappé comme un rappeur et à l'attitude décontractée, est fiancé à une fille blanche et vit dans un luxueux appartement du quartier blanc de Johannesburg, où il passe le plus clair de son temps à animer des émissions de clips vidéo. Souhaitant devenir une star de cinéma, il passe une audition pour jouer le rôle de Bra'Biza, un braqueur de voitures, mais on lui fait remarquer qu'il n'a pas le vécu nécessaire pour incarner un tel héros. Humilié par le réalisateur blanc qui le vire sans ménagement, Sox décide de se rendre dans les townships de Soweto afin d'appréhender au mieux son futur personnage, et même si pour cela il risque de tout perdre : le confort, la liberté, la vie.Actors

Because his mother is dying of a terminal disease, David (Benny Moshe) runs away from an abusive father and lives with other homeless children in a series of large concrete construction pipes. A few years later, David, who now goes by the name Tsotsi (Presley Chweneyagae), is the leader of a gang which includes his friends Butcher (Zenzo Ngqobe), Aap (Kenneth Nkosi) and Boston (Mothusi Magano). After getting involved in a murder committed by Butcher during a mugging, Tsotsi and Boston get into a fight which leaves Boston badly injured. Tsotsi later shoots Pumla (Nambitha Mpumlwana), a young woman, while stealing her car, only to discover a three-month-old baby boy in the back seat. Tsotsi hastily strips the car of its valuables and takes the baby back to his shack.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, four al-Qaeda terrorists Ziad Jarrah, Saeed al-Ghamdi, Ahmed al-Nami, and Ahmed al-Haznawi pray in their respective hotel rooms before arriving at Newark Liberty International Airport. The film opens with two bandits breaking into a railroad telegraph office, where they force the operator at gunpoint to have a train stopped and to transmit orders for the engineer orders to fill the locomotive's tender at the station's water tank. They then knock operator out and tie him up. As the train stops it is boarded by the bandits—now four. Two bandits enter an express car, kill a messenger and open a box of valuables with dynamite; the others kill the fireman and force the engineer to halt the train and disconnect the locomotive. The bandits then force the passengers off the train and rifle them for their belongings. One passenger tries to escape, but is instantly shot down. Carrying their loot, the bandits escape in the locomotive, later stopping in a valley where their horses had been left.
