Homotopia is a 2007 film by Eric A. Stanley and Chris Vargas. This film is a radical queer critique of the politics of gay marriage and assimilation. Using a gritty feminist shoot-and-run style the film is also heavily influenced by Born in Flames and The Battle of Algiers. The film addresses issues of racism, colonialism, AIDS and the state.
Homotopia uses a radical queer/feminist critique of the institution of marriage to undo the logic that "gay marriage" would lead to queer liberation. Loosely based on cinematic tradition Yoshi falls in lust with someone he met in a park bathroom while reading Frantz Fanon's Black Skin, White Masks. Sadly, the new love interest is about to get gay married. So Yoshi and his band of radical queers decide this wedding need not take place.
Homotopia stars San Francisco based performance/visual artist Jason/Joy Fritz, gender illusionist Susan Withans, Kentaro J. Kaneko who worked with gay shame, Ralowe T. Ampu formally of Deep Dickollective and author/activist Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore AKA Matt Bernstein Sycamore among others.
Synopsis
Yoshi éprouve du désir pour quelqu'un qu'il a rencontré dans un parc, alors qu'il lisait l'ouvrage de Frantz Fanon Peau noire, masques blancs. Malheureusement, le nouvel objet de désir va bientôt se marier avec un autre homme, aussi Yoshi et sa bande de queers radicaux décident que ce mariage n'a pas besoin d'avoir lieu.Comments

The plot concerns two feminist groups in New York City, each voicing their concerns to the public by pirate radio. One group, led by an outspoken white lesbian, Isabel (Adele Bertei), operates "Radio Ragazza". The other group, led by a soft-spoken African-American, Honey (Honey), operates "Phoenix Radio". The local community is stimulated into action after a world-traveling political activist, Adelaide Norris (Jean Satterfield), is arrested upon arriving at a New York City airport, and suspiciously dies while in police custody. Also, there is a Women's Army led by Hilary Hurst (Hilary Hurst) and advised by Zella (Flo Kennedy) that initially both Honey and Isabel refuse to join. This group, along with Norris and the radio stations, are under investigation by a callous FBI agent (Ron Vawter). Their progress is tracked by three editors(Becky Johnston, Pat Murphy, Kathryn Bigelow) for a socialist newspaper run by screenwriter Ed Bowes, who go so far they get fired.

In 1944 in the Republic of Salò, the Fascist-occupied portion of Italy, four wealthy men of power, the Duke, the Bishop, the Magistrate, and the President, agree to marry each other's daughters as the first step in a debauched ritual. They recruit four teenage boys to act as guards and four young soldiers (called "studs", "cockmongers", or "fuckers"), who are chosen because of their big penises. They then kidnap nine young men and nine young women and take them to a palace near Salò. Accompanying them are four middle-aged prostitutes, also collaborators, who recount arousing stories for the men, who sadistically exploit their victims.

The Lion in Winter is set during Christmas 1183, at King Henry II's château and primary residence in Chinon, Anjou, within the Angevin Empire of medieval France. Frida begins just before the traumatic accident Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) suffered at the age of 18 when a trolley bus collided with a motor bus she was riding. Laure is a 10-year-old child whose family moves to a new address in Paris. One day Laure sees a group of boys playing outside the window and goes to play with them, but they disappear quickly. Instead, Laure meets Lisa, a neighborhood girl, and Laure introduces himself as Mikäel. Lisa then introduces Mikäel to the rest of the neighborhood children stating that "he" is the new kid in the apartment complex. A bath scene in the film reveals that Mikäel has a vagina, and a following scene confirms that Mikäel was assigned female at birth as his mom addresses him and his sister as "girls." Mikäel becomes friends with Lisa and the boys and tries to hide his genitalia to appear like a boy (make it seem that he has a penis). At one point this leads Mikäel to pee his pants, which originally makes him embarrassed, but is soon forgotten. As they all play, Lisa and Mikäel develop crushes on each other and after swimming one day, Lisa kisses him. At this point, Mikäel also seems to be accepted into the group of boys.
