Synopsis
Depuis son enfance, Jessica est hantée par des cauchemars récurrents dans lesquels elle est poursuivie par une mystérieuse créature à tête de cheval appelée HORSEHEAD. Dans l’espoir de retrouver la paix, Jessica a entamé des études de psychophysiologie des rêves. Suite au décès de sa grand-mère maternelle, Jessica est contrainte de retourner dans la maison familiale. A son arrivée, elle découvre que son aïeule défunte reposera dans la chambre mitoyenne de la sienne durant la veillée mortuaire... Après une première nuit agitée par un nouveau cauchemar, Jessica tombe subitement malade. Clouée au lit par une forte fièvre, la jeune femme décide d’utiliser son état léthargique pour expérimenter le RÊVE LUCIDE et essayer ainsi de prendre le contrôle de ses cauchemars, une pratique dangereuse dont certains ne se remettent jamais. Jessica évolue alors dans son propre monde onirique. Elle mène l’enquête afin de découvrir le mal qui la ronge elle et sa famille depuis des générations. Elle devra aussi affronter une dernière fois le maléfique HORSEHEAD.Actors

In 1958, Anna Jurin, a young cleaning woman, is sent to spruce up the abandoned St. Ange orphanage in the French Alps region. In fact, she has been sent there because she is pregnant, but she keeps this a secret from others. She then discovers that Judith is the only orphan who still lives there, a young woman who acts like a child, locked up in her own memories. As she begins her cleaning duties, Anna begins to experience strange things such as hearing the footsteps and voices of children down the hallways. The wicked Voltan kills his own father when the latter refuses to turn over the magic of the "last elven mindstone". Before the old man dies, he bequeaths a great sword with a pommel shaped like a human hand to his other son, Hawk. The hand comes to life and grasps the mindstone. The sword is now imbued with magical powers and can respond to Hawk's mental commands. Hawk then vows to avenge his father by killing Voltan.

In New York City, during a séance held in the apartment of medium Theresa, Mary Woodhouse (Catriona MacColl) experiences a traumatic vision of a priest, Father Thomas (Fabrizio Jovine), hanging himself from a tree branch in a cemetery of the remote village of Dunwich. When the images overwhelm her, Mary breaks the circle, goes into convulsions, and falls to the floor as if dead. The police, led by Sergeant Clay, interrogate Theresa, but fail to heed her warnings of an imminent evil. Outside the apartment building, Peter Bell (Christopher George), a local journalist, tries to gain entry to the premises but is turned away. The following day, Mary is buried in a local cemetery on Long Island overlooking Manhattan and Peter visits her grave site. The gravediggers (Perry Pirkanen and Michael Gaunt) leave Mary's half-covered coffin at the end of their work shift and leave. As Peter begins to leave, he hears muffled screams. Using a pickaxe, he frees Mary from her premature burial, the pickaxe coming dangerously close to her head as it smashes through the casket lid.
