House of the Dead is a 2003 film adaptation of the successful 1996 light gun arcade game of the same name produced by Sega. The film was directed by Uwe Boll. This film featured Erica Durance in one of her earliest roles before she became known for playing Lois Lane on Smallville.
Synopsis
Two college students, Simon (Tyron Leitso) and Greg (Will Sanderson), take a boat to an island to attend a rave. They meet up with three girls: Alicia (Ona Grauer), Karma (Enuka Okuma) and Cynthia (Sonya Salomaa). Karma has a crush on Simon, Simon has a crush on Alicia, and Cynthia is Greg's girlfriend. When the five arrive at the dock, they find that they are late and the boat that is supposed to take them to the island has already left. They get a ride on a boat with a man named Victor Kirk (Jürgen Prochnow) and his first mate Salish (Clint Howard). A cop named Jordan Casper (Ellie Cornell) tries to stop them from leaving, being that Kirk is a smuggler, but they leave anyway.Actors

The film begins in a jungle at nighttime as a mercenary squad scouts the nearby area looking out for modified super soldiers ("Trigens" in the Game), only to be slaughtered by a lone Mutant. Dr. Krieger (Udo Kier) is then informed by his men about the event and asked to stop the research, Krieger refusing to do so. The film then skips to Valerie Cardinal at CIA headquarters who is secretly receiving information about the events and the actual research by an informant. They then arranged a meeting with her at the Island.

The film takes place in the town of Paradise, Arizona (a ghost town in real life), where the volatile Postal Dude, after being mocked at a job interview, kicked out of his local unemployment office and discovering that his morbidly obese wife is cheating on him, is more than a little angry and is desperate to get enough cash to finally leave his dead-end town. He decides to team up with his Uncle Dave, a slovenly con artist turned doomsday cult leader who owes the US government over a million dollars in back-taxes. With the help of Uncle Dave's right-hand man Richie and an army of big-breasted, scantily clad cult members, the Dude devises a plan to hijack a shipment of 2,000 Krotchy Dolls, a rare, sought-after plush toy resembling a giant scrotum. Uncle Dave plans to sell them online, where their prices have reached as high as $4,000 a doll.
