Synopsis
Aldo and Vittorio are two men suffering from disabilities. One is blind, the other is forced to a wheelchair. Vittorio one day by chance meets Aldo in the hospice and invites him to brake a pleasure trip to Sanremo in Liguria. In fact Vittorio, though blind, is a cheat who's in trouble, and he needs to go to Sanremo to settle a business. But in his messes, Vittorio also involves the gentle and naive Aldo...Actors

Silvano and Alfio are mediocre students who manage to snatch away a degree at the university where they both studied medicine with absymal results. After a few years Silvano (now a peddler of beauty products who on the side sells pornographic material and sex toys) meets Alfio again, now running a beauty parlor fueled with the money of his neurotic wife. After a comic mishap with a customer left too long in a sauna machine who has apparently suffered a stroke Silvano, seeing the large country villa where Alfio lives with his family, proposes him to turn it into a dieting-farm where rich customers will pay hefty sums to get rid of excess fat. The operation is run hapazardly with several incidents; in the end Alfio suffers a nervous breakdown and goes catatonic. An English professor of Aesthetics (with which Alfio shares the room in the clinic he's recuperating at) convinces the duo that true beauty lies in generous proportions, as in the works of Tiziano, Giorgione and other famous artists. Alfio and Silvano then convert the villa in a trattoria where the best patrons are the same people who originally visited it for dieting purpouses.

The storyline opens in Tokyo where JM (Rikiya Kurokawa), a rich young IT worker and sometime computer hacker, is attempting to purchase a 1967 model Citroën DS, or Goddess, as it is known to French car aficionados. JM lives in a pristine but unfriendly hi-tech apartment. The smog filled city is blue-grey and bleak. He rarely speaks to his live-in girlfriend and is preoccupied with other possessions—his latest snorkeling gear as well as the pet snakes and other exotic reptiles he keeps in the flat. After tracing, on the Internet, a perfectly restored Citroën owned by a couple in Australia, JM abandons his job and flies out to purchase the rare car, which he thinks can fill the emptiness in his life.

The Roman lawyer Fabio Ciulla goes on holiday to Egypt. He is pursuing his wife, whom he has repeatedly betrayed, in an attempt to persuade her to forgive him. The police sergeant Enrico Ombroni also travels to the land of the Pharaohs with a guard (Biagio Izzo) to get his young daughter away from a musical group of which she is a fan. The two protagonists meet in Egypt for an exchange of misunderstandings, since Ciulla by mistake has a love affair with a young girl while his wife forgives him. The girl is engaged to the son of Ciulla, who plans to get rid of the tangle by a clever ruse. Meanwhile Ombroni's daughter runs away with the crew of her favorite musical group, who have come to Egypt to shoot an exotic video.
