Into the Sun is a 2005 American action film directed by Christopher Morrison, and written by and starring Steven Seagal. The film modeled after the American yakuza films The Yakuza and Black Rain. Originally conceived as a remake of Sydney Pollack's The Yakuza, Warner Bros. would not release the rights to the story and the film was consequently reworked into Into the Sun. The film was directed by Christopher Morrison, also known as "mink".
Synopsis
The assassination of Tokyo governor Takayama (Mac Yasuda) causes a stir of public outrage in Tokyo, Japan. Upon hearing the news of the incident, the FBI asks the CIA's Tokyo office to investigate the killing, believing it to be linked to the Yakuza, a dangerous Japanese mafia. Retired CIA agent Travis Hunter (Steven Seagal) and rookie FBI agent Sean Mac (Matthew Davis) are assigned to work on the case and to track down the perpetrators. The Japanese branch of the CIA starts sniffing around under the auspices of Homeland Security. During work, Mac proves to be more of a distraction, not really knowledgeable about procedures or Japanese customs. Hunter was raised in Japan, and has a strong understanding of the Yakuza and their mysterious, eccentric, and sinister ways.Actors

During the Qin dynasty, the general Meng Yi is tasked with escorting Ok-Soo, a Korean princess, back to China to marry the Qin emperor. Along the journey, a Korean warrior attempts to seize her back but Meng Yi saves her. Ok-soo falls in love with Meng Yi and displays her affections for him openly, but Meng honourably rejects her and successfully completes his mission. The Qin emperor becomes critically ill later and he sends Meng Yi to find the elixir of immortality, the only thing that can save his life. The guards escorting the elixir are ambushed by rebels on the orders of the treacherous prince and chancellor. Meng Yi hands over the elixir to his deputy, Nangong Yan, before dying in the ensuing battle. Although Nangong Yan manages to bring the elixir to the emperor, the prince and chancellor wanted Nangong Yan and Ok-soo to test the validity of the elixir and force them to consume the elixir, condemning them to imprisonment in the Qin emperor's mausoleum for eternity.

Yoshiko Kawashima is the 14th princess of Prince Su of the Qing Dynasty. In order to revive the Qing culture, Su sent Yoshiko to Japan to be trained as a spy by Naniwa Kawashima, who also deprived Yoshiko of her virginity. Yoshiko was ordered to marry a Mongolian prince, although the marriage was a failure. After breaking with Naniwa, Yoshiko went to Shanghai and, with her beauty and leverage, she attaches herself to Japanese general Tanaka Takayoshi and helps Emperor Puyi establish Manchukuo in Changchun. She becomes a commander of a Manchukuo Army unit and a Japanese spy, seeking revenge on revolutionaries. But upon seeing her former lover Cloud, who became a revolutionary, being arrested for assassinating Takayoshi, Yoshiko has a change of mind. But a crisis will ensue.
