Add to a movie listKabloonak (Inuit for "White Person", "non-Inuit") is a 1994 film about the making of Nanook of the North, a 1922 film about an Inuk called Nanook ("polar bear"; in modern Inuktitut spelling: nanuq) and his family in the Canadian Arctic, more specifically in the Port Harrison (Inukjuak) area; which was known then as Cape Dufferin. The movie was shot in Siberia and the Northwest Territories. It premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in August 1994. Kabloonak was released theatrically on September 16, 1994 in Canada.

Danny Madigan is a teenage boy living in a crime-ridden area of New York City with his widowed mother Irene. To escape from his harsh reality, Danny often skips school to watch movies at the run-down Pandora movie theater, owned and managed by Danny's friend Nick. Nick receives the film reels for Jack Slater IV, the latest in one of Danny's favorite film series about the titular Los Angeles police detective and violent action hero, and offers to show it to Danny at a private screening just before the world premiere. To mark the occasion, Nick tears up a special ticket he received from Harry Houdini years ago, giving one half of the stub to Danny as a keepsake.

A young shop assistant named Clara Manni (Lucia Bosé) is selected by movie executive Gianni (Andrea Checchi) for his new film, Woman without Destiny. When test screenings reveal that the public is enamoured with Clara, but less enthusiastic about the film itself, producer Ercole (Gino Cervi) sees an opportunity to take advantage of his actress' shapely presence and spice the film up a bit, with less attention to detail and more overt displays of passion. Clara becomes compromised when she marries Gianni, who becomes jealous over the provocative marketing for her film, and categorically states that he doesn't want her involved with it anymore. She reluctantly agrees, and after requesting a more serious vehicle for her, they set about on a new version of the daunting trial of Joan of Arc, with Gianni in the director's chair. The film is panned when premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and with both their reputations in tatters, Clara is forced to evaluate their marriage and the career that she has embarked upon.

À la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Eva Berger a fui les territoires à l'est de l'Allemagne pour l'ouest. Elle travaille maintenant comme figurante au cinéma. Son auteur Paul écrit un scénario et pense que Mona Arendt sera la vedette du film. Tornau souhaite qu'Eva reprenne son propre rôle. Stefan, l'époux d'Eva, s'oppose à la réalisation de ce film. De plus, il se rend compte de l'histoire d'amour qui naît entre Eva et Tornau. Le tournage s'avère une torture pour Eva qui revit son passé. Au cours de la dernière scène, alors qu'elle s'est séparée de son mari blessé, elle fait une dépression nerveuse. Cependant elle se rapproche de Stefan avec lequel elle se réconcilie.

Two screenwriters, Law and Benson (James Cagney and Pat O'Brien), are in need of a story for cowboy star Larry Toms (Dick Foran).
