The film was selected as the Georgian entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final list. The script was the winner of 2010 GNFC competition of debut full length feature films and went on to be the most successful release in Georgia of 2012 also enjoying a theatrical run in French cinemas.
Synopsis
A group of ten very different women are selected for the televised Georgian Mothers Contest, a thinly veiled beauty pageant incorporating a talent round, cooking skills, and even a bikini contest.Comments

In June 1983, in Dutchess County, New York, Sebastian Cole joins his mother, stepfather, and sister for dinner where Hank, Sebastian's stepfather, drops a bomb: he announces that he is having a sex change operation. Sebastian's sister, Jessica, leaves immediately for California, and his mother, Joan, takes him back to England. Eight months later, Sebastian is back in New York, knocking on Hank's door. Hank (now Henrietta) takes Sebastian in and supports him over the next few months of high school. Sebastian's "adventures" are mostly self-destructive.

East Chicago. Indiana - début des années 1960. Trois jeunes hommes, Danilo, David et Tom courtisent la même jeune fille, Georgia Miles. Celle-ci, très exaltée, se croit destinée à une carrière de grande danseuse, à l'image d'Isadora Duncan, son idole. Georgia s'offre à Danilo, qui ne sait pas "saisir l'instant", et perd sa virginité avec Tom. Celui-ci, à la veille de partir pour le Vietnam, ne souhaite pas se marier avec elle et Georgia épouse David, bien qu'elle soit enceinte de Tom. Quant à Danilo, il a toujours été épris de Georgia, mais il s'unit à Adrienne, la sœur de Louie, un copain d'université, fils de milliardaire, gravement paralysé et, sans doute, condamné. Or, ce mariage n'a jamais été admis par le père d'Adrienne qui tire sur eux, tue sa fille et se suicide. Très affecté, profondément désorienté, Danilo apprend, en outre, le décès de Louie. Il revoit pourtant Georgia, désormais séparée, élevant seule son enfant. Celle-ci mène une vie désordonnée et paraît peu encline à partager une nouvelle vie de couple. Danilo va, de son côté, travailler avec son père dans une aciérie de Pennsylvanie. Errements, nouvelles rencontres et disputes émaillent l'existence instable de Danilo et Georgia. Une nuit, pourtant, les quatre anciens amis se retrouvent. C'est alors qu'enfin Georgia et Danilo se décident à partir vers le Sud afin d'y sceller une existence commune.

Seven years after the events of Henry Fool, Fay Grim (Parker Posey) is coerced by a CIA agent (Jeff Goldblum) to try to locate 'the confession novel' notebooks that belonged to her fugitive husband (Thomas Jay Ryan) whom he believes to be deceased. At the start of the story, the death of Associate Justice Stanley Moorehead has created a vacancy on the United States Supreme Court. The new appointee turns out to be Ruth Loomis, a staunch conservative, who is confirmed as the first female US Supreme Court Justice. She and Associate Justice Daniel Snow, a committed liberal and many years older than Loomis, clash intellectually on just about every judicial issue before them. The film tells the story of Ariel Perelman (Daniel Hendler). While he has an easygoing lifestyle, he's trying to find his way in life in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He works at a university as a law professor. The film begins with a long narration of the way things stand in his life. He describes his father, Bernardo Perelman (Arturo Goetz), in detail.
