La Règle du je est un film français de Françoise Etchegaray sorti en 1992.

Synopsis

Olivia a trente ans. Elle est peintre et prépare une exposition. Simon a le même âge, il est musicien et prépare un disque. Après avoir quitté Olivia pendant presqu'un an, il est revenu mais ils se voient rarement. Olivia mélange ses incertitudes sentimentales et ses démêlés picturaux. Elle se confie à ses amis Yvan et Judith et décide de partir à Majorque, dans la maison de ses parents pour travailler. Sur le ferry-boat qui va de Barcelone à Palma, elle rencontre Alexander qu'elle revoit sur l'île. Elle tombe amoureuse de lui mais lui ne voit en elle qu'une aventure passagère. De retour à Paris, elle annonce à Simon qu'il est préférable qu'ils se séparent. Elle retrouve aussi Alexander mais il ne veut avoir avec elle que des relations d'amitié. Au cours d'une exposition collective avec Ivan et Judith, Simon et Alexander se rencontrent. Olivia comprend alors qu'elle ne doit plus tout mélanger.

The film begins with Baron Charles Frankenstein (Sting), his monster (Clancy Brown), Dr. Zalhus (Quentin Crisp), and his assistant Paulus (Timothy Spall) creating a female mate named Eva (Jennifer Beals) for the monster. Eva is physically identical to a human and lacking the deformities of the monster. As such, she is revolted by the monster and rejects him. This causes the monster to fly into a rage and destroy Frankenstein's laboratory. Frankenstein, believing himself and Eva to be the only survivors, flees with her back to Castle Frankenstein. He tells everyone, including Eva, that she was an amnesiac he found in the woods. There he decides to take Eva for himself and pursues the goal of making her a perfect human mate.
