It stars Burns, Gavin Free, Michael Jones, Colton Dunn, Allie DeBerry, and Alan Ritchson. It is the first feature-length film produced by Hullum and Burns' company, Rooster Teeth Productions.
Funding for Lazer Team was largely raised through a successful Indiegogo campaign, raising over $2.4 million in a month. The film is distributed by Fullscreen Films and premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 24, 2015. It is set to be released theatrically in January 2016, as well as on YouTube's paid subscription service YouTube Red.
Synopsis
"Lazer Team begins decades ago when the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence project received a one time signal from outer space, which was never decoded. Or so we were told. Unbeknownst to the general public, the secretly translated signal said two things: One, we are not alone, and two, the galaxy is a dangerous place. Working in total secrecy, the US government has been training a single Champion of Earth – a warrior of incredible skill to don a suit of unimaginable power designed by new alien allies in preparation for Earth’s battle for survival against an evil race of aliens. Unfortunately, the suit never made it all the way to its intended destination. Instead of a lone savior, four hapless idiots find the suit and are thrust into the role of heroes as the titular Lazer Team.Actors

April O'Neil (Megan Fox), a reporter for Channel 6 Eyewitness News in New York City, investigates a crime wave by criminals called the Foot Clan. At a dock at night, she sees the Foot raiding cargo containers. After an unseen vigilante attacks the thieves, April notices a symbol left behind. April's supervisor Bernadette Thompson (Whoopi Goldberg) and her coworkers are oblivious to her story. Mary Wilson, a born and bred Texan, moves to Los Angeles to open a high class bakery, and get away from her wacky family. After initial success she faces eviction when a bad review and a run of poor sales coincide. Hoping to raise money from engagement presents she decides to visit her family in Texas with her fiancé, Brent. Brent comes down with an allergy before the trip and she takes his twin brother Jake, a jailbird, to pretend to be Brent. While in Texas she falls in love with Jake, and he with her, despite some competition from Lucy, her childhood friend, who is in on the secret and assumes Jake is "available". Brent arrives during the engagement party and take Mary back to Los Angeles, where Mary's bakery becomes a success after her grandfather gives her the award-winning recipes he and his wife collected over the years. While setting a wedding date, Brent realizes they are not suited, Mary confesses her love to Jake, and Mary and Jake get married.

The Monster Squad is a society of young pre-teens who idolize classic monsters and monster movies and hold their meetings in a tree clubhouse. Club leader Sean (Andre Gower), whose five-year-old sister Phoebe (Ashley Bank) desperately wants to join the club, is given the diary of legendary monster hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing (Jack Gwillim), but his excitement abates when he finds it is written in German. Sean, his best friend Patrick (Robby Kiger), and the rest of the Monster Squad visit an elderly man, known as the "Scary German Guy" (Leonardo Cimino), actually a kind gentleman, to translate the diary. When the Monster Squad wonders how the German man is so knowledgeable about Van Helsing's battle with monsters, he wryly comments that "he has some experience with monsters" and his shirt sleeve briefly reveals a Concentration camp number tattoo.
