Synopsis
Albert (Michel Boujenah) et Moïse (Richard Anconina) Lévy sont issus du milieu juif ultra-orthodoxe d'Anvers mais ne se parlent plus depuis qu'Albert a quitté sa famille pour Paris où il a ouvert un café non-cachère et s'est marié avec Brigitte, une non-juive. Son frère Moïse, lui, respecte scrupuleusement les rites et coutumes juives, s’est marié dans les plus strictes règles, ne sort de son milieu que lorsque son métier d’ouvrier diamantaire l’y oblige et parle occasionnellement à Dieu, qui se révèle à lui au milieu de la fumée et de sons stridents. Goliath (Maxime Leroux) est garagiste et dealer.Actors

While leaving his flat in Paris for vacation, Antoine Maréchal has a car accident. His 2CV is totally wrecked by Léopold Saroyan's Bentley, the director of an import-export company. As a compensation for the accident, Saroyan offers Maréchal to drive his best friend's 1964 Cadillac DeVille from Naples to Bordeaux, all expenses paid. Unknown to Maréchal, Saroyan is the leader of a criminal organization and the Cadillac is filled with drugs, stolen gold and diamonds, including the largest diamond in the World, the Youkounkoun. Maréchal departs for his destination, oblivious of both his cargo and Saroyan who is discreetly following him to watch over the delivery.

Scant days before her wedding to Vittorio, Nelly (Deneuve) has a change of heart and runs away. Summer 1941. Over Nazi-occupied France, a Royal Air Force B17 Flying Fortress becomes lost after a mission and is shot down over Paris by German flak. The crew, Sir Reginald, Peter Cunningham and Alan MacIntosh, parachute out over the city, where they run into and are hidden by a house painter, Augustin Bouvet, and the grumbling conductor of the Opéra National de Paris, Stanislas Lefort. Involuntarily, Lefort and Bouvet get themselves tangled up in the manhunt against the aviators led by Wehrmacht Major Achbach as they help the airmen to escape to the free zone with the help of Resistance fighters and sympathisers.
